Home alone all weekend as D in Edinburgh on a stag weekend.
I had the hen do tonight but spent last night and this morning clearing up sick as DD2 is properly throwing up and I've had to wash the car seat cover, bedsheets, dressing gowns, floors, clothing, you name it. I'm 37 weeks pregnant, gagging over the smell, obviously now NOT going out tonight, or doing any of the things I had planned for today.

Life's just a bit of a wanker sometimes isn't it.

Oh and last week D DJ'd and I was left looking after girls on my own then too as he had to sort his records and go through his set on Saturday, left at 5pm and was back at 6.30am on Sunday and spent 3/4 of day in bed.
DD1 had a 'nooooo' day and was extra specially hard to deal with to top it all off.

Where's my - I'm heavily pregnant and am spending day in bed reading - time?

Rant over, didn't help one sodding bit tbh!

Just one word springs to mind when I read your post: "Men"

dh is currently in bed, feeling 'ill' with the same cold I had when he accused me of malingering. I've a good mind to wake him up.

Poor you being pregnant and feeling put upon. Time to have a word with him I think...

Oh, those last few weeks suck, dont they sweetie?

And that is without a sickly toddler and an absent partner.

Come on here and swear intermittently - it might help make you feel better

Oh poor you

Is there no friends/family near you can palm the dc off to for the weekend? You need a rest and would be justified in getting shot of them for a couple of days!!!

No advice but lots of sympathy, been there done that too.

Sounds like Dh needs a keep up the a**e and a reminder about who's the pregnant one! Maybe we can all think of of way to 'remind' him for you when he comes back....

Definitely not being unreasonable.
Its grim isnt it, being a mum, sometimes? Lots of hard work for very little reward. Make sure you milk the situation when new baby arrives for as long as possible

YA most certainly NOT BU
You poor thing, what a pile of crap

at 37 weeks though! Seems no time since you were posting about being newly pregnant (but then that's what having a baby does to you, time flies. nearly 6 months have passed for me in the blink of an eyelid)

I really hope things look up soon and D OWES YOU BIG I reckon. Something needs to be sorted out to give you a rest before the new baby comes

I'm not even that peed off with him tbh.
He was DJing, did take the piss with his arrival home time but...
And the stag is one of his oldest and dearest mates and really good mate of mine too.

Juts peed off with the timing of it all really!

Think I will still get DD1 babysat tonight and stay in with DD1 so at least DD1 doesn't have to be trapped in with us as well. Poor thing starts abck at school on Monday, hardly a fun weekend for her either so at least she can stay at her grandmas still.

You could pull "my backs gone", so he has to do everything around the house when he gets back?, obviously your back will not improve until some time after the baby has arrived.

I think having an ill toddler is the key - especially at the end of pg. Rant away - I think you are being v nice to your dh - he is lucky to have you.

Don't tell mine.

YANBU tell your DH to make a time when he will have the kids so you can rest for the day.

I know how you feel though DP when i was pg with ds2 i had severe spd and couldn't walk yet dp would happily bugger off for the day!
