AIBU?

In asking for help with a crazy amazon employee?

Not me but my sister in law.

She had an issue with an item she bought through Amazon. They kept putting the delivery date back so she asked for it to be cancelled. The guy she spoke to (from amazon customer service) wasn't very helpful and said that he couldn't do anything.

She then got sent the 'how did we do?' questionnaire (we're in the States if it makes a difference) and gabe two stars for outcome and helpfulness.

Two days later she gets an email saying her amazon prime has been suspended.

She calls and tells them it wasn't her and to reinstate it.

Then two days after that all of her tv subscriptions stop. She calls and they say that she described them through her account. She's says that she didn't and after another day of trying to find out what's going on it turns out that the first man she spoke to has been going in to their account and cancelling things. He's now cancelled her whole amazon account!

She can't manage to speak to anyone that will take it seriously, they've said they'll give him additional training but surely he should be fired?!

I doubt they can access her financial details but just in case I've told her to cancel her debit cards listed.

She's really upset because he obviously has access to her home address and possibly can mess with her finances, any thoughts from anyone? Amazon haven't even really apologised!

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz she was a LOT calmer on the phone than I would have been!

She's really upset because even though what they've done isn't that awful it's still a terrible breach of trust from a company. She doesn't use social media or shop on small websites so for a this to happen with a company as big as amazon and them not take it seriously is a bit of a pisser.

I would go to social media with it and maybe speak to police about it. It sounds like he is obsessed with her if he repeatedly does this, so could become a stalker.

Wow OP, sounds awful. No idea why you're getting so much flack. As she's in the states is there an equivalent of Action Fraud she could talk to if she's worried about him accessing her accounts?

Send the CEO an email and if necessary take this to Twitter.

She could be lying but I've heard her on the phone and she's just not that kind of person. Plus I've just sat while she cancelled all of her cards.

Why would the police be involved? Have I missed something?

I've told her to email the ceo. Apparently he still reads all his emails. Not sure I believe that but hopefully someone will.

The email saying her Prime account was suspended sounds like a scam email and she's been dealing with scammers.
Based on what you say in the OP.

@BritInUS1 I think she has. They've said he'll be called in for extra training!

I think the "US" statement may be relevant.

UK Amazon are brilliant - & I don't work for them.

Twitter sounds the way to go, not sure why some posters are thinking this is made up, hope your SIL can get this resolved.

How would he have access to her account to do that? I don't disbelieve you, I've met enough weird people, just can't follow the logistics
