I also don't see why he should step down immediately. And I'm a tory voter. And as much as he shoulders much of the blame, it's clearly not just his fault the rest of the daft momentum members who supported his policies and voted for him also carry a responsibility

I think it’s much better to take a bit of time to work out what’s needed from a new leader instead of heading straight into a knee jerk leadership contest - it’s not like there’s another general election next week...

If they rush in to selecting a new leader it will be all about ego and who shouts the loudest.

They need to take some time, nurture some up and coming politicians. Otherwise they just end up with someone in it for all the wrong reasons.

Exactly. He was not wrong to try to make the UK a better and fairer place. Just because other people couldn't or wouldn't believe in that concept doesn't mean he was wrong. We should be aspiring to achieve what he set out to do. And I pray that in the future, we will see kindness return to UK politics.

The man has said he will go early in the new year for goodness sake. We're half way through December so it won't be long. The party has to work out who they want to stand for the leadership.
