I think it is.

Verily1 Thu 12-Dec-19 22:57:55

Yes

Marrowfatpea Thu 12-Dec-19 22:58:21

I voted No in the last indyref but tbh if the exit poll is to be believed then fuck it all, I'll say Yes next time.

ThereWillBeAdequateFood Thu 12-Dec-19 22:58:28

Agreed

kalinkafoxtrot45 Thu 12-Dec-19 22:58:33

If the exit polls are correct, then it’s coming. I was never a fan of Scottish independence formerly but if it gets us out of this shit show, bring it on.

FruitcakeOfHate Thu 12-Dec-19 22:59:23

I'm saying yes this time. Tories are going to sock it to Scotland so we may as well. In for a penny, in for a pound.

My partners from Belfast. He thinks untied Ireland’s on it’s way. I can only hope for Indy Ref.

IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory Thu 12-Dec-19 23:01:46

If so it will leave NI in a really vulnerable position. Calls for a UI will create huge tension here.

Horehound Thu 12-Dec-19 23:03:11

Yep, it must now surely. This is such a clear indication just how different Scotland and England are politically.

mumofamenagerie Thu 12-Dec-19 23:03:51

Today my husband was offered a job in Scotland. Couldn’t have come at a better time if the exit poll is accurate (which I am sure it is). The union will break up and we’ll become Scottish nationals. I remember how much I hoped for a No vote in the indy ref. How things have changed a few years on.

NeverDropYourMoonCup Thu 12-Dec-19 23:04:23

I'm waiting with my birth certificate ready for the passport application. Just get on with it.

Booboosweet Thu 12-Dec-19 23:04:39

A united Ireland is absolutely inevitable now.

Nirvana1979 Thu 12-Dec-19 23:04:44

I have everything crossed for Scottish Independence. I know a lot of people who voted No previously who are now 100 percent Yes. The results in Scotland will speak volumes tonight.

backaftera2yearbreak Thu 12-Dec-19 23:05:02

Indeed. He’s a “prod” (his words not mine) and I quote “catholic’s have bred enough voters to push it through”

However, there’s the other minor issue of your missing government. I do feel for you over there, stakes are so much higher. I wish peace and understanding to you from us in Scotland.

EL8888 Thu 12-Dec-19 23:05:40

Yep. Fiancé and l were discussing this about half an hour ago. It does seem inevitable. Fair enough, wish l could break free!

KenDodd Thu 12-Dec-19 23:06:11

I posted a thread a while ago thinking that BJ/Dominic Cummings actually WANT the break up of the UK. I couldn't think of any downsides of this for the Tories.

CareOfPunts Thu 12-Dec-19 23:06:24

I agree. When we look at the map tomorrow morning it’s clear it’s a different country here.

MrsFoxPlus4Again Thu 12-Dec-19 23:06:34

I voted no for independence perviously, I’m 100% yes now.

EL8888 Thu 12-Dec-19 23:06:36

@NeverDropYourMoonCup I’m very thankful of my Irish grandparents!

thepeopleversuswork Thu 12-Dec-19 23:07:19

It certainly seems much more likely. Only a matter of time until another Scottish referendum. NI will be in all sorts of trouble.

glsgow107 Thu 12-Dec-19 23:07:21

I said no to Scottish independence kast time. I'm now a firm yes.

Srictlybakeoff Thu 12-Dec-19 23:07:33

I hope so . No longer want to be associated with people who think Boris cares for anyone who is not an elite wealthy etonian

backaftera2yearbreak Thu 12-Dec-19 23:07:58

If I could persuade this gimp to marry me I could too get an Irish passport!

KaptainKaveman Thu 12-Dec-19 23:08:02

Yep. Long time coming.

KidLorneRoll Thu 12-Dec-19 23:08:15

Let's hope so.
