AIBU?

Critique these body measurements honestly 32-26-34

Mumsnet is only place I can ask this and get straight, honest responses.

So asking for your blunt opinions on bust 32, waist 26, hips 34. Think thigh is about 19 at biggest point. Small, big, good, bad or somewhere in middle?

Just trying to work out if I need to go on my annual pre Xmas diet and for once want to go on measurements not weight! But struggle to know what good normal is with all media/insta bodies!

5ft5 if relevant. Thanks!

‘Normal’ is what YOU feel comfortable with. Can’t think of anything worse than dieting at Xmas time, is it really worth it??

Perfectly normal sizse in fact probably on the slim side so I would say you dont need to and need to get yourslf some body confidence, I am old and wish that someone had told me when I was younger in a serious manner that its not all about having the perfect figure

I wasted years being miserable

sounds lovely to me

my fave body measurements were 38-28-38 and I felt amazing then tbh even though some would consider that a bit 'larger' (long time ago)

You definitely do NOT need to diet

So why would you want to add more outside opinions/judgement?

Mumsnet is the ONLY place you can ask this? Really?

I find never measuring helps immensely with this problem.

Get this taken down. And get counselling. This isn't healthy.

Yes, a 26 inch waist is enormous and you definitely need to start dieting right now....Hmm

Obviously I'm being sarcastic and with those body measurements you have a slim figure.

But you know that already don't you? What an odd thread to start.

You sound tiny OP! I find it's best to ignore weight and measurements and go with how you FEEL. How do you feel about yourself?

Step away from Instagram.

Who the fuck measure their thighs? (or anything for that matter!)
Is there supposed you be an approved set of dress measurements? Why wasn't I told?

This is so sad, and scary. You are not a set of measurements. Strangers on the internet can't assess your worth based on some numbers. Fucking hell I don't even know where to start, I despair. OP please stop measuring yourself and enjoy Christmas.

Pretty sure your hip measurement is less than my thighs dude

(Not actually before people tell me to get myself to a terminally fat and stupid centre).

There is an irony in not weighing yourself to avoid the tyranny of the scales then posting what you know are fairly small measurements and asking for them to be validated.

Honestly are you healthy? If you are you are ok.

SunnyCoco · 06/12/2019 08:32

A body is not 'bad' if it is smaller or bigger than other people's bodies.

What your body looks like is not something to which one can apply a moral judgement of 'good' or 'bad'.

Do you feel well? Does your body work ok? Really all that matters is health. Take care of your body and your mind and enjoy your Christmas x

Your measurements indicate you have a slim body.
Do you feel healthy?
Do your clothes fit comfortably?

Forget measurements and scales. The healthiest attitude is to feel happy with your body.

So sad. Thigh measuring? Seriously?!

I think you sound quite unwell mentally, to be honest.

This is either someone unhealthily obsessed, with a potential eating disorder or a bit of a brag...

It’s perfectly obvious that your measurements don’t represent someone who is overweight. Stop showing off and have a mince pie.

Photoshop is not a good guide to health. Suggest you unfollow everyone who has ever posted a picture of themselves in a bikini and follow lots of cute animal accounts instead.

It's not far off what nelly quotes "her measurements were 36,25,34" so obviously you are perfection in an early 2000s eye.

You've taken measurements to post on an internet forum because it's the 'only place' you can ask?

And you want a 'critique' of those measurements from people who will include women with measurements that are considerably bigger...?

You have an 'annual pre- Christmas diet...??!!'

Assuming you're not just fishing for compliments and affirmation can I gently suggest that you try to relax about having what sounds like a slim figure?

Or are you just hoping to compare yourself favourably with other members, some of whom might feel like shit that a person has a 26 inch waist and is worried it might be 'too big'.

Have a fuckin' biscuit and chill out Biscuit
