(prepares to be shot down by all the posh people who have their outside oven...)

Nbg Tue 21-Aug-07 20:09:31

Oooh I would love an outside oveny thing, to smoke chicken in.

[drool]

suzycreamcheese Tue 21-Aug-07 20:25:58

maybe he has delusions or something..read about george bernard shaw, he worked in shed, a revolving one i think..

probably wants to start new trend like standing news presenters....
presnet cookery from a shed trend ..

ProfYaffle Tue 21-Aug-07 20:28:24

I'm irrationally irritated by the notebook, yeah, right, I'm sure he's busy sketching away like Beatrix fecking Potter.

Dabbles Tue 21-Aug-07 20:29:38

aren't sheds the next big thing...?

shoffice and such...exterior office..workspace or just your 'shed' if you are honest!

Heathcliffscathy Tue 21-Aug-07 20:35:58

dabbles, that lamb was on the overcooked side.

main thing about jamie is that even though he has an annoyingly fat tongue, his recipes work fantastically and he is admirably passionate about what he does. that is why i love him.

Kathyis6incheshigh Tue 21-Aug-07 20:38:23

True Sophable. They work.
I like the way you get the feeling he is probably a bit of a bore about food in RL.....

Nbg Tue 21-Aug-07 20:38:26

just chocked on me nectrine Fio!

suzycreamcheese Tue 21-Aug-07 20:39:38

pruner oh, good or bad?...

twas built as summerhouse (but looks like shed) raised on base to turn 360 degrees ..at his home Ayot St Lawerence, near Welwyn, Herts..
to avoid uninvited callers..wrote Pygmalion some other plays there..

he called it his Retreat, bless

full of useless information, researcher in my other life...

Heathcliffscathy Tue 21-Aug-07 20:40:57

kathy, he is patently NOT lying about how much he loves good food well cooked.

does ramsay hate him....have a feeling he might. although ramsay doesn't hate anyone as much as ainsley harriot from what i can tell.

pointydog Tue 21-Aug-07 20:45:05

oh come on, who doesn't hate ainsley harriot

pointydog Tue 21-Aug-07 20:45:27

I do like 'ol Fat Tongue

Kathyis6incheshigh Tue 21-Aug-07 20:45:51

Don't know Soph, I expect so. I can't bear Ramsey so I never read interviews or anything about him.

Kathyis6incheshigh Tue 21-Aug-07 20:47:10

(did I misphrase my post btw? I meant 'one gets the feeling he is a bit of a food bore' not 'you get the feeling' - have just realised the meaning can come out all wrong.)

Heathcliffscathy Tue 21-Aug-07 20:49:43

huge massive disclaimer:

KATHY I WAS AGREEING HEARTILY WITH YOU.

Slubberdegullion Tue 21-Aug-07 20:51:02

Oh God that lamb on a spit <drool+>

Dh even said I wonder how he would charge to come round to our house with his antique spit and cook that for us. Did look bloody gorgeous.

Heathcliffscathy Tue 21-Aug-07 20:51:07

i fancy ramsay

and the sickest thing is that i fancy him more since I heard the 'suck, you fucker suck' rumour.

am sick.

Heathcliffscathy Tue 21-Aug-07 20:51:39

dh said of the lamb 'is there any way you could get me one of those now?'
