I think we joked way back about Pay Per View as an option for televised hearings, didn't we?

Thank you Across.

Oooh, thanks for the lovely imPEACHment picture lion!!

And I'd defo plunk down a PPV fee to watch the hearings, but I expect that would be a bit too much 'Panem et Circenses', even for the Trump Era.

I'm guessing CSPAN & MSNBC for sure and CNN 'very highly likely' as far as 'gavel to gavel'. The 'big 3' networks (ABC, NBC, CBS) probable as far as 'most of the time'. Fox? Anyone's guess as to whether they ignore it or broadcast with their own particular 'spin'. I'd say the latter.

I see he's trotted out his usual 'scare tactic' to try and gather support (ie fear monger). That dog don't hunt.

Do you think that's enough to last us? How long do these impeachment doodahs tend to take?

It will largely depend on McConnell, assuming the House will vote to Impeach.

I imagine that Melania won't shed many tears for the impeachment either. She'll probably find it peachy.

I don't think Trump hasn't said a truer thing in decades:

Trump says after Rep. Steve Scalise got shot his wife 'cried her eyes out,' joking 'not many wives would react that way ... I know mine wouldn't'

Thanks for the sparkling new thread, Across!

The Impeachment resolution vote has Breitbart readers in a tizzy. They are talking civil war - they always have, but today’s has taken on a serious planning tone. County militias and building up stores. Stocks of ammunition. Etc. I simply don’t get why they would bother doing that for Trump.

A bit more Gin Gin Gin and Brew Brew Brew depending on time zones.

How long do these impeachment doodahs tend to take?

We really don't have much to go on Perking. The A Johnson impeachment was around so ago so that any timeframe isn't really 'relevant'. Nixon never got to a House impeachment hearing as he resigned first.

The only one we have to go on is Clinton's and it took about 2 months from the day that the House Judiciary Cmte authorized the impeachment inquiry to the day the House voted to impeach him. It then took the Senate 5 weeks to vote to acquit.

But with the partisan-ism and Trump-ism in the House and Senate GOP these days + Trump's propensity for filing lawsuits every step of the way we may be looking at a much longer timeframe.

An example of Republican stubbornness and stupidity.

LBC radio station is Trumpeting its “scoop” of number 45 calling Fascist Farage for a 30 minute phone “interview” yesterday. Dangerous dickhead speaking to corrupt cockwomble attempting to influence a foreign country’s election. I refuse to listen. It’s disgraceful.
