How much would you judge seeing a little more than a hint of a female nipple while out and about? Say shopping in tesco, in the queue at the post office, someone dropping their children off at school?

Won't you be chilly?

StreetwiseHercules · 22/10/2019 07:29

I really don’t understand why women judge each other so much.

A woman out and about has breasts. So what?

Why even give it any more than a nano-second’s thought?

PrincessPain · 22/10/2019 07:36

It's for me, Rihanna looks gorgeous here, and I like the look of her top on her. I'm 27, and while I'm definitely not the same level as Rihanna in the breast department, I'm happy with mine and have been growing more in confidence as I get older.
So while I'd would be something a little less clingy, I like the idea of showing a little, but I don't really want to be openly ridiculed because while I'm building in confidence, I dont want it knocked back down.

Sheer top, no bra.

Why even give it any more than a nano-second’s thought?

Our society doesn't permit visible nipples in those places. It would be unusual enough for most people to notice and wonder what was going on.

In those settings I'd assume they hadn't realised, not think they were deliberately being provocative.

HellonHeels · 22/10/2019 07:38

You want to wear a clubbing outfit on the school run?

FrappeLatte · 22/10/2019 07:39

Why would you want to flash your nipples on the school run? Confused

Mammyloveswine · 22/10/2019 07:39

That is totally inappropriate to wear to the school run! It's a see through top!! Even with a bra underneath it'd be questionable on the school run!

DogAndCatPerson · 22/10/2019 07:41

Would you be liable for indecent exposure? To be honest, I just don’t think it’s necessary to have your breasts exposed in public as a fashion statement.

I hate it when men have their tops off at the slightest whiff of a temp in double figures too, so I don’t reserve my public nipple aversion for women.

wheretoyougonow · 22/10/2019 07:41

YABU
I wouldn't want to see nipples (male or female) whilst deciding what yoghurts to buy. Oh and be prepared for a pre schooler to whisper in their loudest voice 'mummy you can see that ladies boobies'!

You don't get these clothing dilemmas in Waitrose 😂

seven201 · 22/10/2019 07:41

I really don't think it's appropriate to wear a semi sheer top with no bra. Everyone would be doing at least a double take or discretely trying to warn you you'd had a wardrobe malfunction.

AntennaReborn · 22/10/2019 07:42

I am no prude, but that is not a school run look. For going out, surrounded by adults, why not if you feel confident in the outfit

MustardScreams · 22/10/2019 07:42

I’m all for women wearing whatever they want, but there are times and places for clothing, and nips out on the school run isn’t one of them.

HellonHeels · 22/10/2019 07:42

But to answer your.qurstion, if i saw you wearing that out and about I would think you were an attention seeker or possibly had some kind of exhibitionist fetish. I'd feel uncomfortable if that were the case because I don't want to be an unconsenting part of someone's fetish/fantasy.

seven201 · 22/10/2019 07:43

I don't think it's ok for going out out.

AFistfulofDolores1 · 22/10/2019 07:43

Who would you be wearing it for, really?

MiddleClassProblem · 22/10/2019 07:44

For a night out, yes but I wouldn’t in the day (unless a party).

It’s just a night out kinda outfit...

DragonMamma · 22/10/2019 07:44

Why do you like the idea of flashing some nipple in the supermarket or on the school run? I don’t get it? I would think you were being a bit ridiculous if I’m honest.

I think it’s different when you’re on holiday and have no bra on under a cami too for instance, but the school run? Nah!

I’m perk of nork and always have been. I’ve had both my nipples pierced and never felt the need to flash them.

Morgan12 · 22/10/2019 07:45

Aye good one.

As if any sane person would wear this in any public space. Unless of course you are Rhianna, or Kim K etc.

Any non celeb wearing this anywhere screams 'I'm a total fanny'.

Skipsaretheanswertoitall · 22/10/2019 07:46

For the school run? For a trip to Tesco? Post Office? 🤦‍♀️

PurpleDaisies · 22/10/2019 07:46
Hmm
ThursdayLastWeek · 22/10/2019 07:46

I think it’s inappropriate, but I do recognise it’s my anti nipple socialisation telling me that!

But good point made upthread - won’t you be freezing??

And I would assume you were an attention seeker because I can’t fathom any other reason to wear that outfit anywhere TBH.

Totally inappropriate. I don't want to see anyone's nipples in the supermarket or school run, male or female. Put some proper clothes on fgs.

LolaSmiles · 22/10/2019 07:46

I'm not bothered seeing nipples but would find it a really weird choice of clothing for Tesco/the school run.

Just like I wouldn't wear wedding guest attire to go and collect a take away, or gymwear to a christening. Of course you can do what you like, but I wouldn't be surprised if people thought getting your boobs out on the school run was unusual.

BaronessBomburst · 22/10/2019 07:47

I'd think that you were an exhibitionist and doing it for the kicks/ shock factor.
I'd ignore you.
