But it is work!!

I get invited to all sorts of appalling things (last week for eg to some golf thing the english open is it somewhere near Birmingham ffs!!) but they are normally in the week thank god so if I do have to go is on their time

We go away on a corporate jolly every september for 3 days - Friday - Sunday!

DH went on his own when I was v pregnant with DS as I couldn't fly and to be honest I wasn't too bothered - it was only once that year.
I only book things at work for our clients during the week.

Well it is work and it isn't, really. This is a golf jolly and is by no means compulsory - a firm DH's company uses is taking them out to say thanks for all the business.

I think my point is why the need for such lavish / long winded entertainment when quite frankly a great meal in a top restaurant with some mind bogglingly expensive wines would have much the same effect.
