To think this is weird?

Name changed for this as could be outing Been with partner for 2 years but we don't live together. Yesterday I went round to his and he said he was going out for a meal with one of my friends (he isn't Friends with her). And he was dressed in a shirt and tie. I asked if he wanted me to come and he said no i dont have to. I asked if he would come to mine after the meal and he said no because he didn't know how long it would be for. And he would see me tomorrow (today). And my friend sent me a picture of a dress and she didn't mention partner she said she was going out and asked if it was OK. AIBU to think this is weird? What should I do?
