Nowt to do with me

I first of all want to say, while tonight doesn't impact me, any future decision might do.

I live in a second floor flat, each block has one entrance with four flats in it, plus a ground floor flat with its own entrance and back garden, which are fenced off.

We have a communal garden, there are roughly 24 flats, all who share the communal garden. The bit right outside my flat is about 6ft wide, but if you go further down its a massive clearing.

One of the flats have been having a BBQ in the massive clearing area, it seemed to have ended round about 11pm, certainly I didn;t hear anything afterwards,and tbf to them, didn't really hear anything while they were having a BBQ and then about 15 minutes ago all hell has broken loose, not sure what started it, but the argument seems to be about the communal garden.

Apparently its a drying area only? I have never heard this term, my contract doesn't mention anything about the garden, the thing is, I let my son out there to play, so in doing so am I breaching something even if its not mentioned in the contract?

Either way I am going to continue to be nosy or continue watching TV,

Odd! Who is the person/people saying it’s a drying area only?

I think its one of the people in the ground flats, with their own garden.

But I am only assuming this, as I can't see anything, just hear it all and am too lazy to move.

I will also say, the fenced off gardens are not big, maybe half the size of a swimming pool.

Is it a council flat? Call them and ask...or if it's not, then call the management.

You all might need clarity of how the outside space should be shared

Not sure if it is a council flat, there are a mixture of owned and rented. I rent but I know some have been for sale.

I will email my landlord to find out exactly, but I am bored and have no clue to the term drying area.

Google is not being informative, but giving the washing lines I get the idea. This might cover my section but wouldn't cover the clearing area

@Monty27

Yep completely agree and as I said this has not impacted me at the moment, no one has complained of my son playing outside, but something is still going on, so it may come to a head
