to be incandescent with rage because an adult sibling of a child my son doesn't get on with has threatened my 15 year old on Bebo "that he'll be on the receiving end of his fist" because he told the child that he didn't like him!

Whoops.... forgot to take out the names...

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 13:12:00

They've put stuff in their comments like "I'll kick his chavvy little head to the other side of the world" that particular one was from a 23 year old sibling ffs....

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House Tue 31-Jul-07 13:13:54

ok, maybe report thqat post and re-do taking names out, but i understand why you're angry!

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 13:15:52

How

madamez Tue 31-Jul-07 13:16:28

Sheesh, how immature and stupid this bloke sounds. Kids have always said @I'll get my big brother on to you' when they fall out, but adult big brothers are supposed to have a bit more farking sense!
Agree with you that keeping a record is a very good idea if you suspect the whole thing's going to escalate to actual violence.

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House Tue 31-Jul-07 13:17:28

use red exclamation mark next to post. then just re-do.

i agree about adults supposedly having more sense! but there are some idiots out there!

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 13:21:14

I've done it.... thanks sleepless.

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 13:22:56

And have emailed this to them.... Do you think I've done the right thing? I was just so mad!

As I have said to your parents in the past I make a point of not getting involved with stupid, childish squabbles. This stupid feud has been going on for a while and at the end of the day don't think for one minute that **** is blameless, I have heard him taunting both of my two youngest sons and have chosen to stay out of it because I am not a child nor a BULLY. When your son gets older you will find out that one minute they are all the best of friends and the next they aren't talking, then two weeks later they are all talking again.
Having said that, you can then understand that I find it extremely distasteful that an ADULT has chosen to threaten my CHILD with violence just because he had the honesty to tell another child that he didn't like him. He did not threaten him and he did not swear at him, I will concede however, that he was unkind. This being the case, it certainly doesn't warrant the threats of violence or the torrent of verbal abuse you and yours have sent.
I have printed copies of all the threats of violence that have been made to my son, a fifteen year old child, in fact I have made copies of all the conversations between you, **, ** and **** as these pages include the date and the URLs of the people that have made them and feel quite frankly, that enough is quite enough!
Should you threaten or bully my son any further, please be advised that I WILL GO TO THE POLICE as well as Bebo. I'm sure they will also have a very dim view of adults threatening children.

Lolly68 Tue 31-Jul-07 13:29:50

I would have to report this to Bebo - it is a threatening post.

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 13:30:50

The thing is I really do make a deliberate attempt to stay out of all their silly arguments but I honestly couldn't believe what I was reading!
Incidentally, a tip for mum's, open your own bebo account so you can keep an eye on what they're doing. If I hadn't I would never have known!
Bless him, he's tried to answer back in a grown up way but the stream of verbal obscenities is absolutely disgusting. This little t**t has called him B's and C's...

mojotalking Tue 31-Jul-07 13:36:04

I would have been livid too and I think you did exactly the right thing intervening. I hope it all gets resolved in a good way and that your son is left alone.

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 13:38:44

So far he's had disgusting foul mouthed messages from 3 sisters and one of their boyfriends. All because this boy sent a non-sensicle message to his bebo knowing full well that they don't get on, so ds3 wrote back and I quote "y do u talk to me i dont like u take a hint" and for that he's been threatened with violence and called all the names under the sun!

After watching Panorama last night, I'm not surprised about how low-life and scummy some people can get. I'd keep a log of all their threats.

bogwobbit Tue 31-Jul-07 13:45:08

My dd (then aged 11) was threatened by the mother of a girl who said that she (dd)had been picking on her.
The mother saw my dd when she was in school one day (actually so that younger children could be included in siblings school photos) and chased her and her friend into the toilets threatening to 'batter her'. Dd locked herself in a cubicle and the mother threatened that she would make sure she 'didn't see her next birthday'.
In anser to your question, no I don't think you're being at all unreasonable but I'm not surprised it happened. Some people are just scum.

Beelliesebub Tue 31-Jul-07 14:06:28

What was Panorama about expat? And I agree bogwob some people truly are scum. At least when he tried to reply to them he didn't swear and lower himself to their extremely low standards.
Don't get me wrong, I'm hardly holier than thou, I can f and blind with the best of 'em and I'm certainly no snob but at least I try to teach my kids values.... these "Berks" (yes I saw the tread about Berkshire Hunt lol) actually told him to learn to spell after one of the other sisters had called him a "s**t hed" I ask you, truly I do! Where do these f*ing people come from?

just seen this thread and obvously don't know the whole story. but just wanted to offer you a hug. absolute nightmare for your son. ds is 15 and I would be furious if this hppened to him(so would his dad would most likely have to tie him to a chair) I do hope it sorts its self out.
can he not block them so he doesn't have to speak to them on bebeo?

YANBU

Cyber bullying is utterly vile and sadly becomeing all too common.

For some unknown reason people who do this sort of bullying don't seem to think that it is wrong

Horrible
