Hangover and childcare - am I being panicky?

Husband got home v drunk (out of character) - he's going through work stress and was sounding off with colleagues in the pub. Fine, but he's home far later than expected and more drunk.
I'm working tomorrow and he's in sole charge of our 2 year old from 7am. I'm worried he won't be safe for the first few hours, even if I make sure he's showered and dressed before I leave.
We have no alternative childcare and I've already messed my work around this week to accommodate medical appt for my daughter today (which is why he's off tomorrow, so I can go in).
Am I being a bit of an over worrier? (I tend towards anxiety esp where baby is concerned). Or do I need to basically tell a massive lie to get out of mywork?
Will I be able to tell in the morning?
Eurgh I'm so angry

It’ll be fine. Don’t worry. If the two year old needs to watch peppa for an hour or two in the morning it’s fine!

They will be fine. Your husband might feel horrendous but the 2 year old will soon keep him going!

Yeah, he'll cope. Won't be full-on finger painting and baking fairy cakes, but no-one will die.

Does he have to drive anywhere? That would be my only concern. Other than that, they’ll be fine! I’ve parented my DC feeling like crap from illness (and once a hangover) and it’s no fun, but it’s not dangerous. Lots of tv time

Agree they will be totally fine, but yes taxis if they need to go anywhere.

Don't envy him the hangover with a 2 year old though lol.

No driving - we're in south London and don't even have our own car.

Ok you've all reassured me. Off to get my paltry 5 hours sleep (dd has been up after having a nightmare 😫)

They'll be OK unless he plans on driving anywhere. Not ideal as he'll maybe be parenting from the couch with lots of TV but provided little one is fed and looked after, fine as a one of.

He'll be fine, my dad use to do nights (get home at 5am) and would often sleep until 9-10ish, mum would get me up make me breakfast then head off to work. Leaving me plonked in front of the TV Grin

If he doesn't have to drive anywhere he'll be fine, don't worry. Your daughter will be having a quiet cuddles and tv day I think lol.
