To ask opinions on a TV show age suitability

Marvels Runaways currently on TV. Is it suitable for a 13 year old who enjoys Marvel films including Deadpool etc. I've done a google search but can't work out yes or no. Anyone watched it and can let me know?

I am fairly liberal with TV (obviously not walking dead or GOT) and Marvel films in general but thinking maybe some scenes not suitable ...?

If he's seen Deadpool I wouldn't worry about this show. It depends on the child though. My son seen Deadpool at 13, by Year 8 there's a lot they are seeing at school and on the Internet, memes etc.

According to imdb Runaways is a tv 14 rating, so up to you if you let dc watch it, but if they have watched Deadpool I can't see why not.

I have a mature, recently turned 12 year old and wouldn't let him watch Runaways yet, but there could be over a year difference in age between my ds and your dc. I would possibly let him watch it in a year though, if he was interested in it.

I wouldn't have an issue with my 12 year old watching runaways. deadpool I don't think is suitable at all. but then that ship has sailed...

Deadpool was fine. We watched it first. He watched it with us at home, as he does all Marvel stuff. Only watched it this year before anyone thinks he was 10 or something.

Think DH and I will watch episode one first before deciding

It's a funny age this. Too old for some films/TV series now but not old enough for others. Can't wait til he's older and we can watch some of our best loved TV series from the beginning again with him. At least another 3 years though.

He's loving Umbrella Academy and Titans.

But kids this age make jokes about this type of thing/see memes on the Internet. It seems young but they are seeing this stuff and laughing about it. As I said earlier, my son watched Deadpool at 13, he's now almost 16 and he's remained a sensible, respectful lad. He also watched things like Game of Thrones from just 14, as did his friends. If you do all the talks with them and have open conversations, it doesn't gave to be harmful.

Lol...am I officially a bad parent? I really do think it dependent on the child. Believe it or not we are actually quite overprotective in other ways.

GoT is extremely violent particularly against women. Even the ‘strong’ women are abused. FFS.

It's a tv programme. No one is saying it's ok in real life. I don't particularly encourage my child to watch anything, I don't particularly discourage anything either.

If Coca-Cola want people to drink coke, they show a can of coke. If GoT shows 50 rapes, we think it does nothing? Nothing to young men's views on women, or rape, or their viewing choices generally?
