Pork dinner on a toastie.. husband in a strop

My husband has just presented me with a breville:
Pork, roast potato, broccoli, carrot, Yorkshire pudding and cheese.
Am I being unreasonable - I turned up my nose to fuck, it was just plain weird.
He's now sulking and threatening to never ever make a toastie again as I am so ungrateful.

How does all of that even fit into a toastie?confused

64sNewName Sat 13-Apr-19 01:44:54

Also - it’s nearly two in the morning.

Maybe I’m dreaming this thread.

That sounds lovely!

Yes YABU.

Theyellowsquare Sat 13-Apr-19 01:45:37

Munchies? grin

CheshireChat Sat 13-Apr-19 01:46:08

Was it like those Yorkshire pudding wraps you get at Christmas markets?

araiwa Sat 13-Apr-19 01:47:14

Sounds great

WhyTho Sat 13-Apr-19 01:47:17

That sounds weird as fuck.

However I probably would have smiled and eaten it anyway because any time someone cooks me dinner it means I don’t have to.

AutumnCrow Sat 13-Apr-19 01:48:27

You'd never fit a Yorkshire into that.

DramaAlpaca Sat 13-Apr-19 01:48:41

Cheese? confused It would've been perfect without the cheese.

Runkle Sat 13-Apr-19 01:49:54

Yeah definitely needed gravy, not cheese.

64sNewName Sat 13-Apr-19 01:51:41

I think we need to know what kind of bread it’s on.

Madvixen Sat 13-Apr-19 01:52:45

I struggle to make two types of cheese in my toastie makes, what sort of monstrous toastie maker do you have?

managedmis Sat 13-Apr-19 01:53:09

Actually inside bread?

FrogFairy Sat 13-Apr-19 02:14:46

I would swap the cheese for stuffing and have a ramekin of gravy to dip in.

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom Sat 13-Apr-19 02:19:28

I don't eat meat but apart from that it =yummy!

Is the yorkie the bread or has he stuffed it all into bread too?

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree Sat 13-Apr-19 02:23:09

I'm with you. Whilst I like a nice roast dinner and then mop up the leftover gravy with a couples of slices of bread, to put it inside a toastie is just odd and I wouldn't eat it. Also, cheese? On pork and roast potatoes? And how big was each slice of bread? How did he he fit it all into a toastie without tearing the bread? Have you just had it now, at 2a.m.?

WontYouDance Sat 13-Apr-19 02:23:22

I was a bridesmaid earlier today so have been drinking since about 10am and that sounds like the most amazing toastie ever

Yes YABU and send your DH to my house please

Really want to eat this right now but I only have pringles

HappyLife21 Sat 13-Apr-19 02:25:00

Leftover broccoli? No!

WontYouDance Sat 13-Apr-19 02:26:33

We could dip the awesome toastie in gravy like a sauce

RainbowMum11 Sat 13-Apr-19 02:29:50

Yorkie instead of bread?
Sounds awesome!!!!!

WontYouDance Sat 13-Apr-19 02:30:18

Omg the Yorkshire pudding is the bread isn’t it, it’s not actually in the toastie

I need to go to sleep before I try and make this

KittyWindbag Sat 13-Apr-19 02:30:32

I think I must be an absolute pig because that sounds filthy delicious to me. I’m very pro sandwich and roast dinner.

Alicewond Sat 13-Apr-19 02:33:34

Without the cheese that would be yum, but what was he thinking putting cheese near it. I would file for divorce, that is definitely unreasonable behaviour!

Marshmallow91 Sat 13-Apr-19 02:34:50

Can I have it??

With some gravy to dip it in drools
