To ask how to remove Biro mark on face

Not sure what to do... on a sleepover another child threw a biro at my child which hit them point on. It appears to have left a puncture and black mark on their face. It’s small and slightly larger than a freckle but is black and I can’t clean it off.

Can I ask if anyone knows how to remove the ink or if I should just leave it?

If it is under the skin will it be a permanent mark?

In light of the other thread I'd counselling ASAP!😉

You've tried a flannel with soap and water?

I just cleaned biro off my daughter's face!. I used ponds cold cream, came off lovely. I would think any oil based cleanser would do the trick.

Thanks for your replies.

I should have mentioned that I have tried using a flannel and water, wet wipes and oily make up remover with no success.

It looks like the tip of the biro has punctured the skin leaving a black mark inside it hence it crossing my mind that the skin could heal over it leaving the mark as permanent. Not sure if this is possible though.

Nail varnish remover on a cotton wool bud may work although it may sting if the skin has been punctured.
Hairspray is good for removing biro from leather so you could try spraying a cotton wool bud with hairspray and then dabbing the skin.

Really, soap and (hot) water on a flannel should do it. Takes a bit of scrubbing but should come off pretty quickly.

Fairy liquid gets biro off clothes. No idea if it works on skin but worth a try?!

If it's under the skin you might have a problem. Something similar happened my brother years ago and he effectively gave himself a tiny tattoo. It was on his hand though so it was just left there. He still has it. Maybe wait to see if it fades but if it doesn't I'd be getting help.

Because it's punctured the skin it's effectively tattood the skin. I'm not really sure but you may want to seek professional advice. Who from, I'm unsure.

Sorry for such a vague post, my point I thay I'm not sure anything on the surface will work.

Not want you want to hear but I remember someone pointing out a little black mark on their face and it was where her sister poked her with a sharp pencil and the mark was still visible 30 years later.

I've got a little blue mark on my boob where my brother accidentally stabbed me with a biro many years ago, so you might want to get professional medical advice if it's on his face x

OP. I would get this looked at by a GP. I was accidentally stabbed with a pencil when I was about 8 (on my upper arm). It left a mark which healed over. I’m 40 and it’s still there.
