3 friends one is pregnant and already has one child she dosnt drive and always invites us to her house. she live 45 mins away from one friend and 20 mins from me. Everytime we go over she always seems busy last time we got there and she was having her hair highlighted we spent the whole time looking after her daughter. We invite her out with us but she can hardly make it or when we do invite eg for lunch or drinks she agrees then makes the plans change or bails. She always asks for a lift from my friend even though it’s a 45 min trip from her house. She’s just text me asking if where ok as I haven’t messaged her in ages or spoken to her. I’ve been so busy with work tests scans and being ill. I’ve also been a bit annoyed I sent a gift to her baby shower as I working and got no thank you. She’s also text my friend asking the same thing.

I don't think anyone is necessarily being unreasonable. I mean, it's a little bit rude to invite people over when you're having you're hair done and can't really spend any time with them, but if you're close friends then maybe she thinks you have that sort of relaxed relationship? For example, with some of my closest friends that would be totally fine for me - not awkward or boring or unreasonable. But with less close friends I might be a bit like Confused

You could tell her the truth. She has asked. Text her why you haven't been in touch.

She sounds like a user.

Just be honest with her if you value the friendship, she may not realise that what she is doing is off putting and also the constant bailing on lunches....is that for financial reasons or is she struggling to cope?
