To ask if your second baby was as big as your first

So I've heard a lot of people saying that the second baby is usually bigger than the first, what has your experience of this been? My first was 9lb 6oz so afraid this one will be bigger Blush
And did your pregnancies last the same length of time? Ds was born at 38 weeks so hoping number 2 will arrive around the same time and doesn't go on to 40 + weeks.

He was bigger but he was a boy and almost 2 weeks late, as opposed to a girl born a day or 2 early

They were almost the same weight, can't remember which was heavier.

My pregnancies were within 3 hours of each other in length.

Identical, both 7lb 11oz. Both around same gestation.

My first was 6lb 9oz and my second was 8lbs 6oz. But my 2nd cooked for nearly 4 weeks longer, first born at 37 weeks and second at 40+6. My 2nd birth was definitely easier and faster recovery, though both were relatively straightforward home births.

My 2nd was 2lbs exactly heavier and 12 days earlier

Each of mine got progressively smaller - ds1 was 7lb 4.5oz, ds2 was 7lb 2oz, and ds3 was 7lb on the nose. And all were approximately the same gestation too - ds1 and ds3 were 10 days early, and ds2 was 7 days early.

My 2nd was smaller :)

DS 9lb12oz
DD 8lb 10oz

Both were 2 weeks overdue and arrived the day before I was booked in for induction. DS was quite the surprise as I'd measured on the small side all through my pregnancy with him!

Second was a week later and a pound lighter

Dc2 (8lb 9oz) was bigger than dc1(7lb, 3 oz) Dc 3,4 and 5 were all 8lb so smaller than dc2. Dc6 was 10lb and dc7 was smaller at 8lb 7oz. So subsequent babies aren't always heavier

DS1 was 9lb4 and DS2 was 10lb5, sorry!

BUT. DS2’s birth was so, so much easier despite his enormousness.

My second was bigger. Ds was 8lbs 1oz (born at 39 weeks) and dd was 8lbs 14oz (born at 40 + 3).

First was 10lb 5oz, second was 10lb 2oz. Normal births with both, no pain relief. Bigger babies aren’t anything to be scared of xx
