To ask about keeping anxiety at bay?

I've been so, so busy at work these last three or four weeks that I've been at work till 11pm or so most nights that I haven't already had plans. The anxiety I've had since I was diagnosed with PTSD 2 years ago has markedly improved because I've been so distracted, plus I'm falling asleep at night because I'm pleasantly tired. The anxiety usually was worst on evenings I spent alone in the house.

The deadline for the project is on Sunday though & whilst I'm looking forward to it being over with I'm dreading the return of the anxiety in the evenings. What can I do, if anything, to try and stop the anxiety coming back like it was?

Start diaphramatic breathing now, build up your reserves.

I find exercise the best . Either join a gym, go swimming or these long bright evenings go for a run or a long walk. Also arranging to meet someone or even chat on the phone.

I've suffered quite bad with it for years but it's mainly the random intrusive thoughts that get me down sometimes, I download apps on to my phone like who wants to be a millionaire and play that for ages,
I find tv quite crap to take my mind of it,
I speak to my friends for a few hours etc or do some cleaning.
Mainly I don't let myself worry all day anymore that is what used to get me down I was like a pile of crap all day every day until I thought nah I'm not worrying all day anymore
no matter how tight my chest gets I tell myself it's ok it's just my body trying to protect me again but I'm fine, I'll worry about this at 8.30 for 30 minutes but that's it. And then I'll move my thoughts on with distraction so I'm not ignoring the thoughts and sensations I'm just postponing them until "my worry time". Also I use magnesium bath salts to soak in I get them from the poundshop and they are really good. I make a lot of lists that I'm good at too and find new things I'd like to try or something in the house I might want to change it does get so much easier it really does. X
