Hello

We have a freshly-hatched podcast episode for you, with our hosts Lucy Porter and Aasmah Mir and a guest appearance by James Acaster

This week's episode features a very animated and frankly rather angry discussion about unreasonable bosses, plus some thoughts about those weird questions children have a habit of asking, usually in public.

Please download, have a listen and let us know what you think - you can find more info and download links here or go straight to Acast, Apple Podcasts or Spotify

Sound levels should be evenly compressed, so hope that's working better now for those of you who were bothered by it before. Classics threads are being worked on and will feature in upcoming episodes. The sound effect will, we're afraid, continue to sound like weeing for some of you.

The language/content can be a bit fruity/adult so pls beware - it might not be school-run listening.

We're still interested in your feedback about whether you'd prefer it fortnightly or weekly (if the answer is 'not at all' then all we can do is hoist our bosoms at you). Plus all of your other thoughts, as always.

And if you like it - please do as the man says in the attached video...

No. I listen in the car so until the weeing sound is removed I will be sticking to the guilty feminist, this american life etc.

I prefer weekly, though I do agree that the sounds of pouring "gin" make me need a wee and not rush out to purchase said gin!

I listened to the first one and found it quite boring so I won't be downloading it again. It was too long and didn't hold my attention.

No just nope so boring

Couldn’t listen to this all the way through, it was so boring! Didn’t even raise a smile once

Is there a way I can listen to it through a website in chrome without having to download one of those apps? My podcasts are all on Podbean and you don't seem to be on there

Really sorry about the weeing sound... would it help if it were quieter?

Lyra, we'll try to get an answer for you about Podbean/in-browser listening

I have really enjoyed it so far. I usually listen to my podcasts on the Stitcher app, though, so would it be possible for you to make it available there?

I quite enjoyed it, but I think you might have to re-name the A-list bit for when Tim Dowling is on.

I like the first part as the discussion around the threads was interesting. Better threads this time. I am not that interested in celebrities though so turned off at that bit. Wasn't even sure who it was.

Thank you! Flowers

Yep, Producer Amanda (which appears to be her full and proper name) is working on Stitcher as we speak - and we're also trying to work out a way to host the episodes online so that those of you without access to Acast, Apple Podcasts or Spotify can just listen through your browser. We hope to be able to flourish some good news in your face soon.

Hey! We love Tim Dowling (or do you mean he needs to be in some sort of super-A category?) Wink

Any slebs you'd really like to hear from? Or just anti-sleb in general (which is a fair enough position)

I am LOVING the podcasts! Just discovered them this week so I've been listening on the drive to and from work Grin

My only "critisicm" is the sound volume difference between the adverts/breaks and Lucy and Aasmah talking. It's Massive! It means I have to keep turning the volume right down for the breaks and then right back up for the presenters as their voices are so quiet!

Really enjoying them so far Mumsnet, so thanks Gin

Yay, thank you!

Are you still finding there are sound problems with episode 4?

No anti celeb really just not that into them as such. I recognise some people and they can be interesting just not my cup of tea. I have liked a celeb section in one of the first lot but didn't really get the celeb bit.

@forfuckssake and others who've been asking - you should be able to find the podcast on Stitcher now; let us know if there are any problems
