Was it money body scan

So a few months ago i had a scan. Text a friend earlier this week to say I’ve had the results, first reply was . “Did they find money?”

Then a load of stupid faces.

I muted said person right away as I was that mad. But heard nothing since AIBU thinking this was strange reply?

I don’t owe said person money. They actually owe me £40.

I want to know if it’s me at fault and taking it wrong

They found something on my liver and lungs during the scan they where not looking for this but it was spotted.

Just her idea of a joke but that was your excuse to tell her she owed you money.

If it was me, I’d say “no, not even the money you owe me, still waiting for that” and the same stupid emoticons.

'No but they found the IOU you left'

A joke maybe, not funny and not sure I get it Confused but she left the goal open for you to dig about the money she owes you!

I doubt she meant to cause offence and obviously is unaware anything was found

Did you tell them the results of the scan, or just that you had the results? It does seem an odd response from them, but not sure why you'd mute them for it. (I'm not actually sure what 'mute' means actually - block, delete?)

"Not a penny, certainly not that £40 you still owe me'

Yes we did was the results of the scan but they where missed.

When I saw muted I set messenger so I got no notifications off them until I enable it again.

Could it have been a predictive text error?

I think she was probably trying to write quickly and accidentally the word money came out without her noticing. It's a strange reaction to mute someone straight away. I'd have sent a ? Back.

So definitely meant the comment about the money as I question it again and got the same reply.

I often mute apps as I get a lot of notifications per day. Often 200-350 a day and it drives me crazy so need a quote time.

I think they must of realised as they have apologies now they know how serious it could actually be.
