Leave or remain, I think it’s about time this idea was taken seriously. See Petition below:

I just want a straight forward revoke and take the unrest that may cause.

It's just too impossible. I think we're all sick of it. Just revoke.

How many more times - there will be no second referendum, or 3rd or 4th or 5th.

DEAR GOD NO...the divisiveness will only get worse. I dont have the answer but I cant see a second referendum making this mess better

Like votes on May’s deal, @Silvery?

Report

Typical Tory hypocrisy from @SilverySurfer.

But I also agree with OnlyFools, a second referendum will create even more division than now.

My solution - put the leavers on a little island and tell them they've won, they're out. Create an alternate social media that reinforces that message. And the rest of us carry on as normal.

If they want a civil war as they keep threatening, they can fight amongst themselves.

No second referendum required, a simple revocation of Article 50.

There has been plenty of time to work it out sensibly. Far too many invested more in their own personal gain than anything else. They are almost all without fail a bunch of tossers.

Yes I wish they’d just Revoke and be done with this shambles.

But they won’t - so yes, Second Ref please!

In any business, company, organisation, people make decisions that after some exploration prove the wrong choice. The entire tech industry operates in an 'agile' way now, constantly rethinking ideas, plans, and throwing out the bad/failed ones if they don't live up to the hype or fulfil requirements. This is not a new way of thinking, it's common sense checking. Now that government has explored Brexit, it's high time they put the options back to the public.

You wanted it. We've explored it. Here's our proposal. Now what do you want to do?

This is still democracy!

A new referendum is about the only legitamate way to stay.

You can't ignore the votes of the majority because you know better or because there are financial / economic benefits to ignoring them.

This should have been done properly before any referendum took place not after.

It’s not the vote of the majority, it’s the vote of a little over a third of the electorate - and quite a few of those are dead now.

How many times have people posted that sodden petition on here now?!

SilverySurfer - the UK will leave the EU on 29th March 2019.

My solution

You could just not post rubbish.

And remain was even less than that.

I think we send all 17 million leave voters a small plastic tat Union Jack trophy because they seem to view it as some sort of raffle that they’ve won, then revoke, get rid of the tories and start repairing all this damage!

Totally agree @sweeneytoddsrazor but it's too late for that now.

I just can't get my head around the bloody mindedness of it all. Soldier on, even though all options are disastrous. Because democracy said so.

If JRM and Boris can change their minds on TM's Deal, why can't the country change its mind on Brexit.

@Alsohuman it was the majority of the population that could be bothered to get off their arses and vote. If people don't care enough to vote then they have no right to moan and their opinions should be disregarded.

I’d have agreed with you until last week. Now I wouldn’t be totally surprised if a 2nd referendum is the only thing that gets a majority on Monday’s second round of indicative votes. It came very very close the other day, and now May’s deal is off the table as far as getting through Parliament is concerned, it might scrape through.
