AIBU?

To eat my sons Lindt Bunny

A colleague of DH bought DS (3) a Lindt bunny st Christmas.

Generally we don’t let DS have much chocolate, usually only a tiny bar, or the odd small packet of haribo or piece of cake at parties or when we are out for coffee.

WIBU to eat it and replace it with some toy cars? (He loves toy cars)

He has no idea the bunny exists, so it’s not like he will be upset

I'm just amazed you managed to hold off eating it for this long! Eat the bunny, he doesn't know that it exists and won't appreciate it. Buy him some cars and if your feeling really guilty some chocolate buttons.

I'd probably share it. Give him a little bit and eat the rest then if he's had some you can't feel guilty. Get him some cars too!

Eat ittttt. I've heard that some parents buy their children selection boxes at Christmas, and then open them and scoff the contents. Buy the replacement chocolates the next day, refill the box and glue it up. Multiple times up to the big day. So I've heard.......cough.

Just eat it. If he's not seen it you don't need to buy the cars! Grin

Hes Still got quite a lot of sweets left over from Christmas actually. Last month we found an Easter egg from last year in the cupboard.

In case you are all thinking I’m some super slim fitness healthy eating person; I’m actually pretty chubby. But these things get forgotten about st the back of the cupboard

I'd eat it on principle. It isn't good for him to get a taste for chocolate (DS is still begging for "kek" every time we walk into the kitchen, and it's two weeks after his bloody birthday).

Buy him a mini Lindt bunny, you know the tiny ones for a quid in Wilko and eat the big one. For his own good obviously.

My DS kindly donated his Lindt Bunny to me.

Not that he knows he did....but he's got 3 Easter eggs already from family that he's already 80% eaten and more to come.

As a good parent I think it was my moral duty to eat the bunny and I'd do it again - yes I'm shameless...

@Mammylamb Eat it!!
But I am really puzzled about how you can 'forget' about it at the back of the cupboard 😂😂 that would never happen in this house. (Especiallly lindt bunnies and reindeers! 🤭)
