AIBU?

To think DH should accept that this post was about him?

Bird has been chirping loudly outside of our bedroom window at the same time past few days. Sounds like an owl as it’s so loud. Yesterday it woke me up at 5.30am and same time today. Today I managed to get back to sleep only to be awoken by DH standing st the bedroom window stark bollock naked screaming and shouting. I told him to stop it as it would disturb the neighbours (it was only 6.30am) and he shouted that the bird had woken him up again on his only day off.
I got up at 8.30 and went on Facebook. Our area has its own Facebook page and there was a post on there about the nutter screaming and shouting at 6.30am. It must have been about DH as the times and words were identical! It had loads of replies, all angry etc saying they’d heard it too and it had woken children etc. I told him when he got up and he’s insisting that it wasn’t about him but was probably about the yobs that have been causing trouble but the wording was identical to what he was shouting!! AIBU to think it’s abdolutely obvious that the post was about him and he should recognise that??

😂 What was he screaming? Like swearing and the like? And was he trying to scare the owl bird away?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/03/2019 19:30

Is usually a twat? I would say it definitely was about him, too coincidental not to be.

Charley50 · 24/03/2019 19:30

😂😂

Nicknacky · 24/03/2019 19:30

I hope he is embarrassed.

TheInvestigator · 24/03/2019 19:30

I'd be bloody furious if I were your neighbours. Birdsong sort of becomes white noise when it happens often enough and you can sleep your way through it. If it does wake you up, it's not completely offensive or horrible to the ears. But an aggressive man yelling like an idiot at 6.30 is completely different and it's not OK. If he doesn't realise that, and can't figure out that they're talking about him then he's an idiot.

Soubriquet · 24/03/2019 19:31

The bird was probably thinking why is that weirdo screeching at me

itswinetime · 24/03/2019 19:33

Plus side the post isn't attached to a photo! Shock

Lol. Local Facebook pages are full of busy bodies

He should be flattered he got an honourable mention

(Albeit for a totally over the top reaction)

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 24/03/2019 19:37

Grin thats hilarious! hopefully no-one noticed the stark bollock naked bit!!

DadDadDad · 24/03/2019 19:38

Well, Facebook's bad enough, but I think I know what social media the bird will be on, and you ought to check if it's been tweeting away about some weird human shouting when it was trying sing. Grin

If only. We were nearly driven demented by a bird a couple of years ago who had nested in next doors eaves, opposite the vent in our bedroom. I thought Dh would lose his sanity. It woke him more than me but it certainly wasn't a case of ever sleeping through the noise. He was on the verge of getting a pellet gun when the bird finally fucked off. I dreaded the following nesting season but thankfully it didn't happen again. So I can fully empathise with your Dh op. As long as the neighbours don't know which neighbour was screaming, I'd be keeping quiet about it Grin

YouTheCat · 24/03/2019 19:38

What does he think that shouting at a bird will achieve?

He sounds a bit daft.

LellowYedbetter · 24/03/2019 19:39

Our area is completely silent at that time in the morning, no traffic, nothing. Deadly silence. Then there’s DH stood there with his nob out screaming at a bird to shut the fuck up and go somewhere else. He was hammering on the window and everything. I’m surprised the police were not called to be honest. As the area is so silent you would have heard him for miles I imagine.

60p gets a pack of earplugs.

£20 gets a fantastic, high attenuation and incredibly comfortable set of professional ear filters.

£550 gets you free from having to deal with a stark bollock naked imbecile shouting at the birds.

S1naidSucks · 24/03/2019 19:40

So you were asleep and your manchild threw a temper tantrum at a bird, waking you and the neighbours. He’s a prat.

CaptainSquirrel · 24/03/2019 19:41

🤣🤣 LOL of course it was about him. Also, an angry shouting naked man is always more likely to hit Facebook paydirt than some innocent owl sat around hooting.

Nicknacky · 24/03/2019 19:42

And how did you react when he did that?

Oh it was so definitely him. I bet he’s embarrassed (and he should be), that he got caught and called out

Tell him to go and get some ear plugs and stop waking everyone up

GoldenHour · 24/03/2019 19:43

The mental picture 😂😂

iklboo · 24/03/2019 19:43

At that time it's probably a wood pigeon rather than an owl. They're crazy loud.
