Been talking to a guy for a month.
Organised a date next week.
He text today asking if I fancied lunch a cocktail down the sea front.
I have zero plans,it's a lovely day so I said yes.
I never do things like this
Do I go?
I've told him I'm dressed casual and he said so we are going to the beach ..ha
Or do I stick to the original day next week?

Go. Just stay in the public place.

Oysterbabe Sun 24-Mar-19 11:59:27

Of course go, why not?

whirlyshirley Sun 24-Mar-19 12:00:11

Of course you go!

Casual, spur of the moment dates are so much more fun 😊

Go, relax and be yourself.

And let us know how it went!

HalyardHitch Sun 24-Mar-19 12:00:24

Definitely go. And report back!

TheQueef Sun 24-Mar-19 12:00:52

Let someone know where you are off to and bugger off out for a seafront rendezvous, enjoy it.

aliicel Sun 24-Mar-19 12:00:51

The sea front will be busy today so I'm not worried tbh
I'm just nervous as I normally plan my life to the very finest detail

Go and enjoy smile I did this on a Friday night, spur of the moment date with a chap I'd met on tinder of all places. Three years later we're very happily married. Just make sure you take safety precautions and stay in public smile have fun!

Langrish Sun 24-Mar-19 12:02:22

Just make sure friends or family no where you are, who you’re meeting (with his details) and when you expect to be home.
(Don’t mean to be patronising, just because you said you never do this sort of thing).

Langrish Sun 24-Mar-19 12:02:41

Know, not no!

Didiusfalco Sun 24-Mar-19 12:05:35

Of course you go! Live a little. (Although follow Langrish advice toowink)

O4FS Sun 24-Mar-19 12:06:17

Go.

Treat it as a pre-date - to find out if you want to go on a date.

Do not get drunk.

Report back.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld Sun 24-Mar-19 12:06:21

Enjoy. Let someone know where you are going, not why, butt justt tto be safe.

Merryoldgoat Sun 24-Mar-19 12:07:48

Go - sounds fun!

peppaaargh Sun 24-Mar-19 12:08:57

Go for it!

OurChristmasMiracle Sun 24-Mar-19 12:17:47

Make sure your safe and go!!! Take your phone. Message someone when you get there and have an “escape plan” ie your best friend calls mid date having split from her boyfriend wink

confused8 Sun 24-Mar-19 12:22:54

Yes go! I went on an ad hoc date just over 4 years ago...we are now renovating our house and expecting our first baby! Sometimes it's good to be spontaneous!

NameChangeNugget Sun 24-Mar-19 12:25:10

Just go for it.

Spontaneous stuff is always the best

MinisterforCheekyFuckery Sun 24-Mar-19 12:26:05

As long as you stick to public places and make sure someone knows where you're going then that sounds lovely. Have fun smile

ApolloandDaphne Sun 24-Mar-19 12:27:30

Go for it. This could be the start of something great!

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe Sun 24-Mar-19 12:28:24

bonzo77 Sun 24-Mar-19 12:30:29

Go! What fun. Stay safe, stay in public. Let someone know where you are. And let us know how it went!

Namechangeforthiscancershit Sun 24-Mar-19 12:31:21

Do it and report back! Spontaneous is great

SuchAToDo Sun 24-Mar-19 12:32:03

Go and have fun op...but don't accept a car ride home or have the guy walk you home or anything like that...not until you actually know him more time...but in public, in a busy place is fine...just don't drink, and keep an eye on your drinks (so nothing is slipped in)...if you suddenly feel unwell after your drink, tell the staff, don't let the guy take you home...
