AIBU?

AIBU to tell the girl sat next to me that the guy she's on a date with is a total dick? (Light hearted)

I'm having a cheeky coffee on my own and there's a couple on the table next to me who clearly don't know each other that well. (They are swapping the kind of info you do on an early date.) And I'm thinking I might fall off my chair cos I've been eye-rolling so hard at the pretentious tripe this guy is coming out with.

Should I tell the girl to run, as quick as she can?!

If she can't work it out for herself perhaps they are actually perfectly suited. Grin

There's nothing cheeky about coffee (ugh) but yanbu.

I hoped you were going to say he was your ex!

I was going to say roll your eyes at her, but someone beat me to it. Grin

He's mansplaining comic books to her. And not just ordinary comics but 90s comics.

Now he's singing along (badly) to the cafe music

Oo I had this a few weeks ago in a restaurant where the tables were practically on top of each other. The couple next to us were on a date and he was a walking red flag. Wouldn't let her choose her own wine then got arsey when she told the waiter what she actually wanted. He even said "oh you're a confident one aren't you" when she politely insisted on drinking what she wanted. Grrr.

She does have a glazed look over her eyes. But it may be a hangover...

Can’t you lay your coat out on the floor so that when she jerks over from boredom she doesn’t hurt herself.

Who has a date at 11:30am?

Damn. They've gone. I did do a "you ok hun?" eyebrow shrug at her tho

I think maybe it was less of a date than a morning-after-hook up-cup-of-coffee

Cheeky as in I should be at home tidying up before our friends come over

He's probably taken her off to the local geek shop. Poor cow.

Hardly saying he's the CEO of Barclays on twenty gazillion a year with yacht, is he?

Perhaps she likes comics too.

Not exactly lobbing out red flags like an Alpen slalom ski event to need those sorts of weird looks

I’d be rolling my eyes pretty hard at anyone who calls it a “cheeky coffee” Wink

This! What is "cheeky" about an adult having a hot drink or "cheeky" anything for that matter?

Such a juvenile turn of speech.
