If someone came on saying they are potentially a family annihilator and were on the brink, I'd like to think something could be done to prevent it.
It's a bit like human rights for me. They apply to everyone. Some people might not agree that criminals should have them but if those people want human rights, then they have to apply to everyone.

I was actually wondering myself how they would know where to send the police to. AFAIK your UP address can only be used to give a vague idea of the area you're in but not your exact address.
