My mummy friend is being bullied by another mum

My friend has her children at a lovely Montessori school on Clapham common. The teachers and children are lovely BUT not all the mothers are. She has been consistently bullied by one mum in particular and her cronies. It started when she stuck up for another mum whose DD was being bullied by a popular mum's daughter - and a bestie of bully mum. Now there are some awful things said about my friend - she's been accused of upsetting other mum's and even upsetting a boy. The school investigated both times and have agreed she did nothing wrong and the my friend is being bullied. They feel it's not long to go before end of year and then they've got rid of bully mum ringleader and everything else should settle down. Other mums are unwilling to stick up for this mum publicly as bully mum is popular! How can I help here? She's becoming very down, her husband does most of the drop offs and I'm worried for her.
