Yep another chocolate that used to be awesome but is now vile :(

I stick to a handful of decent chocolate brands now. Costs a lot more but at least I have cut down!

I thought this was a thread about a baby being named Aero! Glad it’s not!

Nestle chocolate has never been good.

I have reported the vile comment.

The link is absolutely fine.

If you have no problem with Nestle causing the needless deaths of thousands of babies which has been very well documented for about 40 years then don’t click on it.

They are definitely different but I still love them! I could eat bars of the stuff because it’s like air!

It's a long time since I've eaten Aero because of Nestle's appalling record around infant formula.

Also, it contains palm oil.

Glad I'm not missing much!

It tastes very strange. I think the mint one also tastes like something is missing.

When time travel is discovered, before whizzing off to Tudor time or ancient Rome, I will go back to 1986 and compare modern day chocolate bars to Chocolate of Yore. Modern chocolate will fare badly in this test.

I had a ruffles bar today, used to be lovely and all raspberry and lush
not any more. mind you, the last one i had was about 1997!!

Erm, are you saying Nestle kills babies because it sells formula? Confused

Creme eggs are another. I distinctly remember not being able to bite the top off them as the chocolate was so thick and hard. Now you can just pull them apart with your fingers. :(

Ruffles bars used to have delicious moist raspberry coconut ice , now they;re dry and brittle like too much icing sugar Sad

Exactly that. You may want to research.

In summary, nestle started pusing formula in third world countries, selling it a “better” “scientific” etc. Gave HV free samples.

Didn’t think it through —or care— that in such countries clean water isn’t a given. Therefore dead babies from contaminated formula. Secondly these women are poor- and once they’d used up the free samples they couldn’t afford more, and as they’d not established breastfeeding started watering down formula to make it go further. Dead and ill babies from malnutrition.

I was disappointed today, i picked up some ruffles bars in the pound shop and thought great, a bit of a treat after a busy horrible week and it was nasty and tasted of nothing. that will teach me to sneak chocolate in with the pound land special bargains!
maybe this is all being done to make us not eat all the wrong foods? get us all fit and healthy? who knows!

If you advertise infant formula and push it as healthier than breastmilk in countries with poor sanitation and low levels of adult literacy, babies die. Lots of them.

They aren't allowed to advertise in the UK but they can and therefore do in other countries. Totally unethical.

Thanks. Hadn't heard about that before. That's quite shocking.
(It's also shocking that this kind of thing never seems to make it to mainstream media properly)

@goldmandra there's more to it than just advertising. Research some of the totally unethical things they have done
