Calling morality police...
So, my boss has a set lunch. A sandwich, a chocolate bar, a drink. Exactly the same every day. I tend to go on lunch before him so offer to pick up his lunch. The dilemma is this - his sandwich isn’t in the meal deal. In fact it’s a cheap £1 sandwich which for some reason the gods of -Tesco- haven’t included. But the rest of his lunch is. So I take advantage of this and pick up my yummy £2.80 sandwich and that goes through with the other items as part of the deal.
So his lunch costs £3.10 which he gives me. Including my sandwich- which makes it qualify for the deal- it’s £4.10. So I essentially pay £1 for my £2.80 ‘naice’ Sandwich.
After many months of doing this it’s just occurred to me this may be morally dubious. He’s paying what he would pay if he went and got his own lunch. I’m buying the sandwich I would buy anyway. But he’s paying full price and I’m only paying £1. Am I a CF??
