My son ASC

My son has ASC. He is more what was Aspergers. He is nearly 17.

I am really really proud of him. He is the youngest of my 3 and I have brought them up alone. He has never really been given any different treatment because of his ASC.

He has a part time job in a shop which I am incredibly proud of him for and he’s at college doing really well.

College welfare phoned me a few months ago saying he way socially isolated and seeing the counsellor and they referred him to CAMHS.

I really tried to support him with this and he has started talking to me about his life a bit more and every week we have gone out with his older brother and sister.

He now has a girlfriend and she is very sweet and he seems ecstaticly happy.

I am absolutely terrified for him about him getting hurt, how he will handle sexual relationships ARGH please help me.

I do feel for you. He's obviously doing really well though OP...and with or without social difficulties, all parents fear their child getting heartbroken.

Have you noticed how he's managing his relationship? Is he coping ok with messaging and all that? Not getting obsessive or anything?
