I think mine would be Planes, Trains, Automobiles.

I also loved Superbad, Anchorman and Trading Places.

CigarsofthePharoahs Tue 05-Mar-19 16:06:24

Hot Fuzz. I still find it just as funny watching it for the 100th time as the first.
I'd like to add Monty Python's Holy Grail and Deadpool as close contenders.

Meltedicicle Tue 05-Mar-19 16:07:34

Hangover! And with the kids, Paddington.

Processedpea Tue 05-Mar-19 16:07:45

Spinal tap

IdaBWells Tue 05-Mar-19 16:10:44

Some Like it Hot. My teenagers also love it.

Elf would be a close second in the Christmas Movie genre.

RevRichardWayneGaryWayne Tue 05-Mar-19 16:10:58

Airplane - I can watch it over and over and it always makes me laugh!

FurrySlipperBoots Tue 05-Mar-19 16:12:22

I thought Petit Nicolas was brilliant! It's French but the subtitles don't detract.

flowersaremyfave Tue 05-Mar-19 16:13:24

Dirty grandpa

ChristmasFluff Tue 05-Mar-19 16:21:07

My two faves are Withnail and I, and Napoleon Dynamite - they both just get funnier the more you watch them. I also love the Python films.

At school my favourites were the Pink Panther films - me and my friends would laugh until we cried. But now I am more laughing at the memory of finding them so funny than the films themselves.

UnalliterativeGeorge Tue 05-Mar-19 16:21:22

Sean of the Dead

The Hangover makes me laugh a lot more than I imagine it should, I know a lot of people hate it but it had me in tears the first time

But Death of Stalin, recently, really sticks in the mind. Absolute genius, and the scene where Stalin's son is trying to wrestle a gun from a guard and everyone is just standing around awkwardly watching...

ShinyMe Tue 05-Mar-19 19:29:18

Honestly, the most I've ever laughed at a film is a Mel Brooks film from the 60s called Start the Revolution Without Me.

When I was about 12, my mum suddenly got very excited in a video rental shop, when she spotted it. She said she'd seen it on her honeymoon in 1969, and it had been the funniest thing she'd ever seen, but that she'd never seen it since. She was a bit scared to watch it again in case it was actually awful, but we laughed like I've never laughed before, it was just SO bonkers. I then couldn't find it again anywhere until about 3 years ago, when I found the dvd, and then I was a bit scared to watch it in case it wasn't as good as I remembered, but omg, it was just SO funny.

It's Donald Sutherland and Gene Wilder as two sets of identical twins who've been mixed up at birth and then get all mixed up in the French revolution, with lots of stupid who-is-who mix ups, Billie Whitelaw as a bonkers Marie Antoinette, the idiot French king dressed as a cockerel, and just a general Mel Brooks style bonkers fiasco.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz Tue 05-Mar-19 19:29:23

Yes to Role Models!

ShinyMe Tue 05-Mar-19 19:30:38

For those who like Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein (also favourites of mine) I wholeheartedly recommend Start the Revolution Without Me.

Nannewnannew Tue 05-Mar-19 19:32:40
