Not sure if anyone read my previous thread about the women who wants me to be her nanny for free?

Today's encounter:
Frantic phone calls every 5mins from 8am this morning and I ignored them all. Got mine off to nursery, dropped DH off at station and got to the big school on time, this women comes running down the path to the school, face like thunder, the kids run off together and she turns to me, "I've been calling you all morning"
Me: I left my phone at home sorry, are you ok?
"No! Does it bloody look like I'm ok?"
Me: awkward laugh errrr what's wrong?
"My hairs still wet and I couldn't find my coat, im really tired and couldn't bring myself to come out, even thought of calling child in sick"
Me: awwwhh poor you

Yes she genuinely believes it's my responsibility to accommodate her in this way. Don't mind my kids and my own responsibilities, her needs are obviously my priority😬😬😬 she's really arsey and rude to me because I didn't help her!

Sorry I just wanted to vent this x

She’s nuts confused

Omg, didn't read other friend, but you did absolutely the right thing ignoring the calls.

Why not block her?

hidinginthenightgarden Fri 18-Jan-19 12:49:36

I think you need to let her know, that you have no intention of helping her out, so she can stop wasting both her time and yours being so ridiculous!

Celebelly Fri 18-Jan-19 12:49:46

She is batshit.

notapizzaeater Fri 18-Jan-19 12:49:58

Omg, your have thought she'd have learnt

OutPinked Fri 18-Jan-19 12:51:55

Block her number.

SlowOx Fri 18-Jan-19 12:52:58

She must be so self absorbed. You dealt with it well this morning, but I wonder what would happen in you said to her "I was ignoring your calls because I have my own children to look after, I have no intention of providing you with free child care. I don't know why you think I would" or something similar.

MrsFrTedCrilly Fri 18-Jan-19 12:54:51

Bonkers, don’t engage at all she will move on to her next victim soon.

AuntieOxident Fri 18-Jan-19 12:56:02

She wanted your help because she's 'really tired' and her hair's still wet???
You were too nice to her -- how did she respond?

Alaria44 Fri 18-Jan-19 12:56:03

Hahahah amazing. I know someone like this.

She does keep her children off school if she cannot be bothered.

It's amazing how some people actually EXPECT others to take their children to school and will get very nasty if they don't get help...

Keep "leaving your phone at home" grin

JumpOrBePushed Fri 18-Jan-19 12:56:25

She sounds annoying.

Can you block her number?

FeedMeTikka Fri 18-Jan-19 12:56:50

Instead of ‘aw poor you’ my reply would have been along the lines of ‘so what was you ringing me for? Oh you thought I’d bring them in for you?’ Hysterical laughter..’oh you’re actually being serious? Haha you’ve got no chance, I’m busy enough with my own family without taking on responsibility for yours..and while we’re talking about it I don’t appreciate the attitude towards me because I didn’t have my phone on to answer your calls. If you're struggling I’m sure you could speak to the school and they’ll support you as best they can, but it’s not my place I have enough going on.’

Cheeky cow she is!

CruCru Fri 18-Jan-19 12:56:58

Realistically you are just going to have to keep ignoring her calls. Be the person who is unreliable about answering her mobile.

CruCru Fri 18-Jan-19 12:57:55

I often take my children to school with wet hair. I can’t be bothered to use a hairdryer.

Anothermothersusername Fri 18-Jan-19 13:00:30

Omg what a weirdo! Hopefully she will read this thread get the message and leave you alone.

Colabottles64 Fri 18-Jan-19 13:00:38

She is so absolutely ridiculous, HOW does she think getting her kids to school is your problem?! Absolutely unreal cheekiness. You should have fun with it. Ask her how much she’s willing to pay 😂

MrsSpenserGregson Fri 18-Jan-19 13:00:40

Why why why haven't you blocked her number????

She sounds deranged

MiniCooperLover Fri 18-Jan-19 13:01:24

Having read your other thread it sounded a bit like you hadn't actually told her no and that you weren't going to do it. Did you ever actually tell her no? It doesn't excuse her of course but she seemed to be thinking you were doing it. Be brave and tell her no!

Parthenope Fri 18-Jan-19 13:02:04

Well, with the ‘aww, poor you’ stuff, you’re ensbling her delusion that perfectly normal school morning annoyances are (1) serious and (2) your problem. Tell her straightforwardly that this is not your responsibility.

Spotsandstars Fri 18-Jan-19 13:02:06

I remember the other thread. She's nuts!!!! I'd be letting it known what she's been up to. She's bizarre!

Shadow1986 Fri 18-Jan-19 13:02:24

Wtf! Carry on ignoring calls etc in mornings saying you didn’t see your phone, she will soon get the hint.

ApolloandDaphne Fri 18-Jan-19 13:03:25

You answer to her is 'That's my problem how?"
