To be annoyed at truth kept by husband?

Husband today told me something he's known for five years and never told me. Long story short, his sister has always been distant to me, I've tried for years to be her friend. But she would avoid me and if I brought it up over the years I would be accused of being paranoid and 'of course' she likes me. And it would frustrate me because I would point out how other relatives got treated differently to me, I was left out etc. It has caused such a rift with my husband. Today after another argument about his sister, he admitted that she was never going to like me from the start when he told his family I was English. She said she hates English people. And now I feel relief that I knew there was an issue but also annoyed I never knew the reason sooner because it's caused so much distress over the years. It's been frustrating seeing other children in the family included while mine weren't and always being fobbed off with excuses when I would point the issue out. And now it all makes sense!! AIBU to feel annoyed that he didn't tell me sooner or should I just drop it, and his family and forget about them now.
