And shit... this just sums it up Grin if the picture has attached.

I’m only 29 so not exactly old... or maybe I am Hmm

My brows are over plucked more than anything, so not perfect... but why do girls have to over do it on the brow palette

How did we even get into this eyebrow thing? I remember ten years ago a colleague had some dodgy ones drawn on each morning, I was baffled and assumed something awful had happened to her eyebrows....but over the years more and more people were doing it?

The scousebrow and Cara Delavigne (sp?)

I partially draw my eyebrows on due to over plucking when I was a teenager (as was the fashion in the early noughties!) but I wouldn’t dream of leaving the house looking like the second photo!

As my 15 year old naive does it now, blonde hair, massive black caterpillars painted onto the top of her eyes looks bloody awful!

I don't understand it, some of them seem to take up the whole forehead. Even the micro bladed ones tend to look horrendous too.

Has anyone seen the wonderbrow advert? Probably the most annoying online ad I have seen.
Rediculous facial expression and then drawn on so dark

And it’s why I love having a fringe don’t have to worry about painting on anything 😁😁😁

I have a naturally strong brow. Good arch, thick, dark. I’ve never gone with brow fashion, just get them done so they’re tidy and defined, and actually suit my face.

Practically every salon I’ve gone to has pushed HD brows at me. To be honest, I think my brows are close to what most people would like as an “after”- I can never understand why anyone thinks I need to go stronger!

I don't get it either. I get mine threaded and they always try to leave my eyebrows huge. I have to explicitly tell them 'I'm not into the big eyebrow thing, I like them thin normal'.

I do fill mine in (I’m 27 and fell victim to the pencil brows aged 14..) but I use a light pencil and just do it to create a smoother line on the inner bit which is a bit square. I think nicely done filled in brows complete a full make up look but I think young girls have no concept of blending

second picture is badly drawn and too dark not big to me.
the first woman has dark hair and eyes, dark complexion so it suits her and more likely to have bushier eyebrows in ethnicities like that (indian, italian, hispanic, turkish etc). The second one can hardly see her fair eyelashes so it looks harsh on her.

knowing how fashion goes in circles and cycles (i am properly old!) i predict it will be shaved and penciled eyebrows look soon.

Yes hangman! Rihanna had ultra thin eyebrows in British Vogue at the beginning of summer I think? So everyone else will catch up sooner or later.

Some of these brows really are horrendously OTT.

On my commute there used to be a girl with what i like to call 'instagram makeup', you know the drill where there is like 17 layers of every makeup product on her face and her brows were painted on exceptionally thick (like the thickness of a middle finger!)
The brows were 'done' nicely but you could see her original brow was half as thick...which would have been perfectly lovely had she just filled in/ shaped her original brow instead of drawing a fucking brown moat all the way around it.

My brows are a bit too thin for my liking (plucking them like crazy in the past) but filling them in and just touching up the arch is enough to make it look fuller.

They are going to be so embarrassed when they are older!

It's not so much about the thickness of the brow as the way they are drawn in.

So a nice full brow with some pencilling in with an appropriate colour for definition, blended at the front end so it's not as dark (that sort of 'ombre' look) is nice.

A thick brow that has been drawn on way too dark and is the same shade of dark all the way along and stops really abruptly in the middle, not so nice.

I don't get the microblading thing, I think they always look dodgy.

Eyebrows have always been difficult to do though - remember the 'sperm' shaped brows that were sported a few years ago? I do agree that it will all come round again though and thin brows will be in again soon.

sara the joys of social media ! at least back in the day if you had a photo taken wearing 'the style', you look at it now and think wtf ? you have the option of throwing it away. thank god for the fact i got to my my big hair, leg warmers and shoulder pad photos before the dc did !Grin

Mine definitely aren't thick but I love the micropigmentation I had done on them! Bit of brow gel on the top and done, no more filling them in

Those really aren’t bad in comparison to some of the coal black, more arched than a McDonald’s m, super thick brows I’ve seen when I’ve gone to visit my nearest JL (in a very dodgy town). Always accompanied by obviously fake lashes (only on the upper eyelids-wtf kind of logic is that?) and bleach blond hair (again, black brows with practically platinum blond hair, who thought that would work?)

I can’t stand my brows they are awful. But I’m worried if I do anything to them it’ll just go wrong and they’ll look worse ....tempter by threading then I chicken out each time and have just been plucking the stray hairs away.
Tempted by the brow kit benefit do now I can’t remember the persons name but she has lovely eyebrows but then I think I need a good base shape .....
def don’t like the ultra thick brows

A lot of the girls I teach have them drawn on with what looks like black marker, some even have square edges at the nose, it’s bizarre. And then they argue they have no make up on Shock

The most beautiful faces IMO are the ones that stick to the natural look, just enhanced. Trying to drastically obtain something that you aren't born with using harsh products and procedures does not result in the most attractive look IMO, although I do know some people who like the obviously fake look.

Eyebrows should look however the owner of the eyebrows wants them to look.
