I'm pissed off at my neighbours life.........................

and yes I know I am being unreasonable cos I wouldn't change with her, but Jesus, she's got it so easy

gets up at 10.30, bf takes kids to school
seems to do nowt with baby, only goes out if she wants maybe once a week

doesn't cook, gets takeaways most nights

has loads of family round to babysit every weekend so she can go out

doesn't want a job as she says her benefits pay for everything (doesn't tell ss she has a partner who works....)

never feeds her kids anything decent, they wander around these streets with crisps/coke/cake and come in to my house while I'm trying to get mine to eat something decent for once

is always relaxed, cos she gets plenty sleep/rest/time away from her kids and I BLOODY DON'T

am jealous I know, just pisses me off when we're struggling on £16k a year and she gets by and doesn't try just has a nice easy life

God I'm really tired today and a moany bitch, but where else can I moan?!

toomuchtodo Wed 27-Jun-07 12:45:29

and I look after my old mum

her mum is young and takes her kids away so she can have a break!!

moan moan

isaidno Wed 27-Jun-07 12:45:53

you are a much better example to your children

nickytwotimes Wed 27-Jun-07 12:47:27

your neighbour's life sounds rather unfulfilling though, doesn't it?
(trying to be positive here!)

Marne Wed 27-Jun-07 12:48:15

Most of my neighbours are like this

Woman down the road does'nt work, her mother is always taking her little girl out and helping out,she never looks tierd

I know how you feel.

fishie Wed 27-Jun-07 12:50:38

shop her to benefits agency then.

mumblechum Wed 27-Jun-07 12:53:01

YANBU.

Moan away.

bookthief Wed 27-Jun-07 12:58:35

Someone will shop her eventually and then she'll go to jail. Feel better?

Seriously, if she's committing major benifit fraud then she's always going to be one step away from a disgruntled neighbour/pissed-off friend/ex-partner shopping her, or one slip-up and she'll shop herself. Not a great way to live imo.

I know loads of people get away with it but you can never tell if you'll be caught and they come down like a ton of bricks on the ones that are.

Yurtgirl Wed 27-Jun-07 13:00:29

Why not tell on her re the benefit fraud - I would tbh

Oblomov Wed 27-Jun-07 13:01:26

Moan away. Feel free. I, myslef am turning into Mrs Victor Meldrew.
I get cross when I am tired, can't seem to fit everything in. Then I remmeber those wifeswap programmes where people ar eon £40k benefita and I feel like jacking it all in ( I only work p/t, but dh has good job) and living off the state - I've paid my taxes - why shouldn't I - everyone else seems like they are on an easy ride.
Then I wake up and try to get a grip
Don't feel bad, or jealous - I bet your life is much better than hers, when you think about it - atleast you care.

toomuchtodo Wed 27-Jun-07 13:01:34

I wouldn't shop her, just want to moan she's got a bloody easy life of it and I don't

moanmoanmoan

Oblomov Wed 27-Jun-07 13:02:20

Dob her in, having a dp and not declaring - its called FRAUD.

fishie Wed 27-Jun-07 13:03:06

you (and the rest of us) are paying for her easy life.

Oblomov Wed 27-Jun-07 13:04:03

No telling the authorities, IS the right thing to do - for all of us - I don't work to pay for her. If you don't want to, give me her name & no - I'LL DO IT !!!!

toomuchtodo Wed 27-Jun-07 13:04:08

I know, but I couldn't do that to her

(mad I know)

just feel so tired and hard done by today

bobsmum Wed 27-Jun-07 13:05:02

/sounds like my SIL - she has amazing holidays

Oblomov Wed 27-Jun-07 13:05:21

I'm not tired and I want to call the authorities !

fishie Wed 27-Jun-07 13:06:43

[musters mob]

IcingOnTheCake Wed 27-Jun-07 13:07:38

You do seem to know an awful lot about your neighbours life. I just about know my neighbours names.

toomuchtodo Wed 27-Jun-07 13:09:54

she'd know it was me

my face was tripping me this morning talking to her, I was looking stressed (3 part time jobs/no break ever/ old mum/ kids relentless etc etc oh and I was childminging too/my ds up at 6am) she said mornings are so hard aren't they with a big smile. she was in her pj's, bf taking kids to school, she emerged from her house at 12 all made up,new gear on, her mum over looking after the baby for her

gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

must shut up now

bobsmum Wed 27-Jun-07 13:09:58

Depends where you live. On our old estate I could hear everything my neioghbours said and did through the walls. SOunded pretty similar to toomuch's neaighbour. aNd the girl across the road was the same.

Things went quiet after the police raid though

toomuchtodo Wed 27-Jun-07 13:10:32

icing, I know I'm at home with my or others kids too much

bobsmum Wed 27-Jun-07 13:10:34

I have lost the ability to type this afternoon.

toomuchtodo Wed 27-Jun-07 13:11:58

yeah, our houses are pilied on top of each other, you couldn't escape the neighbours if you tried

tiredemma Wed 27-Jun-07 13:12:54

to be honest- that sounds like a shit life to me.

No aspirations, no drive - whats the point- eating crap food and laying about in bed till 1030 is dire- not desirable.

I want my children to grow up knowing and believing that if you want something in life- you have to work for it.

Life is a struggle- but isnt it rewarding to know that everything you have is achieved through sacrifices and hard work?

Id much rather have my life than the life of a bone idle blagger
