It looks like rat. Please tell me it isn't rat?
I've eaten many a strange thing in my day (I have a weird job that often requires me to) but feel like rat would be a new low.

For context, I'm in Russia and was served it by a non English speaking Housekeeper who I suspect doesn't like me much.

it's rat isn't it?

Guineapig?

Ichbinstoltz Sat 17-Nov-18 17:41:10

I can only see two legs though so would be going with some kind of poultry. Have you got a translate app? You have to find out!

IJustLostTheGame Sat 17-Nov-18 17:41:45

Sorry OP. It does look suspiciously like a rat.

looks disgusting....don't eat it !!!!!! x

WontonSoupForTheSoul Sat 17-Nov-18 17:42:11

Definitely rodent, judging by the shape of the front legs.

Tail looks quite thick, so I’d guess rat too.

HashtagTeamRaven Sat 17-Nov-18 17:42:42

It has a tail though, that thing at the end that's kind of stripey is a rubber texture, just like a bald tail...

Maybe duck? Have you tasted it?

OverTheHedgeSammy Sat 17-Nov-18 17:44:05

If she says it's something that sounds like "Krisa" then it's a rat...

PetuliaBlavatsky Sat 17-Nov-18 17:44:33

Looks like a rat to me. The tail is very suspicious. Where are the back legs though?

ReflectionsofParadise Sat 17-Nov-18 17:44:40

Can you not just use google translate and ask her?

OverTheHedgeSammy Sat 17-Nov-18 17:45:01

Ask "shto etta?"

HashtagTeamRaven Sat 17-Nov-18 17:46:11

She's disappeared off somewhere so I'd have to ask tomorrow, though not sure if she works Sundays.

It's really small, easily would fit in the Palm of my hand so not likely a dick.

It's a bird of some sort, what you're all calling a tail is a neck, my guess would be , quail, pigeon or partridge, it only got 2 legs

HashtagTeamRaven Sat 17-Nov-18 17:46:19

DUCK!!!

OP’s posts: |
HashtagTeamRaven Sat 17-Nov-18 17:47:54

Are birds necks that big in comparison to their bodies?

I'm not seeing rat or any rodent, I see a testicle...

Orange: testicle
Red: associated vessels
Green: spermatic cord/vas deferens
Yellow: epididymis (slightly detached)

Really struggling to see anything beyond this!

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats Sat 17-Nov-18 17:49:30

Does it taste nice? That's all that matters. grin

Hezz Sat 17-Nov-18 17:50:38

That's not a duck

Lovingbenidorm Sat 17-Nov-18 17:51:56

If you don’t know what it is..........don’t put it in your mouth
A philosophy that has served me well

Oddbins Sat 17-Nov-18 17:52:06

I think it's a bird and the tail is the attached windpipe it's just butchered differently

HashtagTeamRaven Sat 17-Nov-18 17:53:01

@AnotherOriginalUsername oh my god its a carrot shaped testicle!

Zoomzoomzoomzoom0 Sat 17-Nov-18 17:53:19

😂😂😂😂😂

Mari50 Sat 17-Nov-18 17:53:51

It’s a bird, two legs and the breast meat is easy to see. So whatever little birds there are... pigeon, quail, etc etc
There aren’t 4 legs and the ‘tail’ is a neck.

MrsEricBana Sat 17-Nov-18 17:54:00

Whatever it is I don't fancy it.
