www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6195853/Credit-Suisse-boss-dresses-woman-slammed-appearing-100-women-list.html

Is this for real? To be clear this is not a trans bashing thread! This man is “gender fluid” so decides almost on a day to day basis which gender (basically shall I wear a dress or men’s suit to work today?) and has been listed in the top 100 WOMEN in finance??
He is NOT a woman, he isn’t even trans, he is a fancy dress enthusiast at best!!!!

So women who have worked hard to become the top of their field will now have to compete with men in women’s only categories too.

This has given me the rage Angry

Why are you that bothered?

He's not a woman. Who cares what he wears to work?

InstagramPork · 22/09/2018 11:55

@Poloshot because it’s a fuckOMG outrage!
Why is he on that list? Because he decides to wear a dress occasionally? It’s a massive insult to the actual women in the industry!

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 22/09/2018 11:56

Why are you bothered?

Maybe because this person is claiming to be a woman when they clearly are not. They’ve taken a woman’s place in the top 100.

SaffyLoo · 22/09/2018 11:56

I agree op
Sad

InstagramPork · 22/09/2018 11:57

Piper have you even read what it says?
No one gives a toss what he wears to work, he could go dressed as a unicorn it doesn’t matter.
But listing him on the top 100 women in finance because he occasionally wears a dress is insulting

OP posts:
InstagramPork · 22/09/2018 11:57

Yes ALemonyPea gets it

ADastardlyThing · 22/09/2018 11:59

Yep totally real meaning a woman has lost out.

I feel sorry for them tbh. Imagine knowing deep down that there's probably not a single person who actually believes they are a woman. like those people you get in every office who exaggerate stories and things that have happened to them and everyone's like "yea right......"

SnuggyBuggy · 22/09/2018 11:59

I agree. Would he have made the top 100 men?

Greenkit · 22/09/2018 11:59

What a pile of shit

I bet wearing a suit and calling yourself a man wont get you on their fucking list

CallMeRachel · 22/09/2018 11:59

Agree op.

So does that mean if we wear trousers and a shirt & tie we qualify in the men's category at work?

Zioanna · 22/09/2018 12:01

Yes, and let’s not forget there’s a woman who didn’t make the list because this man took her place.

InstagramPork · 22/09/2018 12:02

The thing that grates is that there are so few work in positions of power in industries like finance, very few directors are female etc. It’s hard enough trying to break through anyway and become top of your field which is why they do a Top 100 Women catergiry in the first place... so to then start added men to that category is such a fucking insult.

OP posts:
InstagramPork · 22/09/2018 12:03

YESSSS @Zionna

From Twitter

Credit Suisse pays its women almost 30% less than its men. Their bonuses are 56% smaller

Philip Bunce declined to say which rate he is paid when he works as Pippa

Now, I don’t know whether the above is true, although I wouldn’t find it remotely surprising if it was...

But I am incredulous that no one thinks this situation is, to say the very least, problematic for women.

fiorentina · 22/09/2018 12:06

Having seen him present at a Women In Finance conference about supporting more women in the industry and retaining them once they have children, I think that he has done a lot to promote women in the workplace as well as working on reducing down the very well known lack of diversity in the City and that this article is inaccurate and deliberately stirring as most Daily Mail articles do. The award is a tricky one, but I would say that it’s depressing when most Women in finance award attendees are packed with women, showing that men don’t take the issues that seriously.

Bellebp · 22/09/2018 12:08

It’s appalling.

SittingAround1 · 22/09/2018 12:08

Yes it's an insult

KateGrey · 22/09/2018 12:08

Yet another insult! So because he wears a dress occasionally he’s a woman?!

ADastardlyThing · 22/09/2018 12:11

What's inaccurate about the article? Hes a man who occasionally (tries to) present(s) as a woman who took a woman's placement a top 100 list.

The DM is spot on in this instance. I think it's wonderful that a mainstream media outlet is finally gathering the balls to factually point out how ludicrous it is. May many more follow suit.

Don't companies have to be nicer to Trans people now? He's just their 'cover girl/boy'. It's all showing off their 'Trans Love'.
Women? Pah! They are not important.
Makes me sick!

lizzzyyliveson · 22/09/2018 12:12

Interesting. Can you tell us what Bunce said about his own wife's career? Has Mrs Bunce been able to retain her place in the workforce? Or is she at home supporting Bunce?

Oliversmumsarmy · 22/09/2018 12:13

Women in finance award attendees are packed with women

Men are not allowed.
