I took a call today at work and it was for my colleague, I said their name on the call and said I’d see if they were available.

I then turned around and she was pretending to hide under her desk to avoid taking the call .... it wasn’t funny it was just awkward.

Or have I no sense of humour? Grin

I don’t get it. How did going under the desk help? I must have no sense of humour.
Oh - except I know I do.
She was weird.

But did she take it in the end?

It’s just inconvenient when I’ve got a client waiting on hold and I have my own workload.

This would be tedious hilarious as long as she then took the call. I'm reaching burn out at work and I've actually started to be quite truthful with callers when my colleagues won't talk to them or haven't returned their calls. I'd have been tempted to say 'I would put you through, but she's hiding under the desk.' Why should you talk to the person just because she doesn't want to?

Not my humour. I worked in an office with a group of women that had really similar slapstick style comedy humour. I prefer my jokes dry and dark

It sounds so toe curlingly awkward like something out of The Office that I'd find it funny if that makes sense? I'd have to say down the phone "I'm sorry my colleague is on the floor looking for something" them let them explain themselves lol I'd laugh for sure.
