We are binge watching Boardwalk Empire. My favourite character died last night and I was in bits. It was beautifully done and a shocking end to the season.
I haven't felt this way since Thelma and Louise went over the canyon. sad

I sobbed when Derek shepherd (Grey's anatomy) was shot and he didn't even die! funny things humans aren't we.

Oh yes, and it doesn’t get any better. Wonderful series, I really miss it. I think I know which character but won’t say in case of spoilers.

Merryoldgoat Fri 10-Aug-18 07:33:00

Oh Christ - I was about to start watching Grey’s Anatomy this weekend!

Oh well 😂

HRTpatch Fri 10-Aug-18 07:33:49

Yes I didn't want to give the name in case.
It is a bloody good series

HRTpatch Fri 10-Aug-18 07:34:17

grin

RuggerHug Fri 10-Aug-18 07:35:20

Mark Green. 😭😭😭

Saucery Fri 10-Aug-18 07:36:56

All I’ll say about that death is that ‘what goes around, comes around’. Which isn’t a spoiler because the whole series is based on actions, counteractions and revenge.

marvellousnightforamooncup Fri 10-Aug-18 07:37:10

Rugger, exactly. ER was a killer for making me cry.

Slartybartfast Fri 10-Aug-18 07:37:21

oh yes sad mark green

MissionItsPossible Fri 10-Aug-18 07:37:56

Three words: The Red Wedding.

huha Fri 10-Aug-18 07:38:41

This Is Us. Every time. And I know Jack dies but still ughhhh

Flatwhite32 Fri 10-Aug-18 07:39:02

I completely agree re Mark Green in ER! So sad!

PepperSteaks Fri 10-Aug-18 07:41:06

Me and DH both cried when Jack died in this is us and at the funeral. I cried like someone I actually knew had died blush

WhatchaMaCalllit Fri 10-Aug-18 07:41:24

RuggerHug - 1 million percent YES. And when he was Goose in Top Gun. How many times did Anthony Edwards have to die on screen and make it so emotional......
Wonder what he's up to now?

Loraline Fri 10-Aug-18 07:41:57

Mark Green of course but also Greg Pratt in ER. His death was devastating. I sobbed. At least with Green you knew it was coming and he had a somewhat peaceful passing.

PurpleDaisies Fri 10-Aug-18 07:46:21

Madge in neighbours. Cried for days.

HollyGibney Fri 10-Aug-18 07:52:00

Ive been binge watching that too. What a fab series. Best thing I have watched in years. I suspect your favourite character is mine too OP. Loved him and yes I blubbed my heart out when he went, not for the first time in that series.

HRTpatch Fri 10-Aug-18 08:02:34

We will be starting the last season today....looking forward to Nelson and Eli together

Nousernameforme Fri 10-Aug-18 08:05:15

The red wedding was more shocking than sad I thought.

AppleCrumbleCake Fri 10-Aug-18 08:07:53

I don’t think I’ve ever got over nana moon dying in Eastenders. Sobbed, sobbed and sobbed some more (I was heavily pregnant at the time so hormones all over the place!)

HRTpatch Fri 10-Aug-18 08:09:22

Yes hormones could be playing a part. Just come off HRT.

EyeDrops Fri 10-Aug-18 08:10:05

Matthew Crawley <sigh>
The way they did it was cheesy as hell, but the context was just so sad! I cried a lot.

Tony in Soldier Soldier, totally out of the blue and knocked me for six.

Kr3000 Fri 10-Aug-18 08:13:37

I avoid ER just in case it's the one with Dr Green. Walking Dead destroyed me when certain characters died.

AliceLutherNeeMorgan Fri 10-Aug-18 08:16:11

Inspector Morse! Knew it was going to happen but OMG I really did sob

And yes, the Red Wedding. More shock, and the realisation that THAT was what GoT was going to be like...
