Totally in-appropriate outfits for toddler session

So this afternoon me and dd went to a holiday toddler session just in our village hall where the usual group meets up.

Ok so I get it's hot but today we had women pushing 40 (and I'm one myself) with skimpy cut off jean shorts revealing butt cheeks and chafing between the legs (to the point where 1 little boy said to his mummy "I can see that lady's bottom!!!) and dresses and skirts so short when people were bending over to play they were flashing knickers that were maybe white a long time ago and boobs hanging out of very low vest tops nearly popping out!!!

I had to laugh at one of my friends tho - she just smiled and said "the weather brings them all out" which certainly seemed to be the case today.

No idea why people felt this was appropriate!!!!! Why do they do it????

Strongmummy Tue 07-Aug-18 20:57:36

Why do you need to comment on it?

Crispyturtle Tue 07-Aug-18 20:58:40

Perhaps they assumed not everyone would be as judgemental as you.

WhatKatyDidnt Tue 07-Aug-18 20:59:18

Who cares what other people wear? Let them get on with it.

Neededastealthname Tue 07-Aug-18 20:59:47

BellaButterfly, I suppose they do it because they don't give a flying toss what people like you think.

SaucyJack Tue 07-Aug-18 21:00:12

I care. I don’t want to see your arse cheeks.

monkeysox Tue 07-Aug-18 21:01:15

They may not have money for new clothes /underwear 🙄

jaseyraex Tue 07-Aug-18 21:01:27

Unless they were walking around completely starkers, does it really matter? People wear clothes they like/feel comfortable in. It's irrelevant whether you like it or not. Says more about you than them tbh.

MsHopey Tue 07-Aug-18 21:01:57

I'm fat. It's hot. I've had my legs out.
Judgemental people piss me off and leave me anxious and paranoid about myself, but going to wear a turtleneck and jeans in this weather because my body displeases others though.
Why should people be uncomfortable?

LyndorCake Tue 07-Aug-18 21:02:47

Would you rather they were uncomfortable?

Emilizz34 Tue 07-Aug-18 21:03:00

Personally I don’t judge people by what they wear and certainly wouldn’t be looking up their dress long enough ( or even at all) to be able to judge the colour of their underwear !!

5cats Tue 07-Aug-18 21:03:25

Oh sod off with your snobby attitude to what other women were wearing, and also what has their age got to do with it? They weren't naked. I'm pushing 50 and wear vest tops and cut off jeans shorts when its really hot and I give not one shit.

NonaGrey Tue 07-Aug-18 21:03:40

Your OP doesn’t make you sound like a very nice person. I’m sure that’s not your intention.

You’ve had a nice little sneer at these women already with your friend- why do you feel the need to do it on a wider scale here?

Bellabutterfly2016 Tue 07-Aug-18 21:04:11

There was about 20 kids and parents there and about 6 really in-appropriately dressed women

Everyone was commenting on it especially the mother of the child who pointed out he could see someone's bottom - I'm sorry but that's just not on.

It's not a case of being judgemental it's about decency and having respect for yourself and other people.

Just seen on the Facebook page the leader has commented on attending sessions in suitable clothing for play sessions!! Already 11 parents have congratulated her on the post and I'll be number 12.

NoProbLlama78 Tue 07-Aug-18 21:04:41

I clicked thinking it was going to be big frilly dresses. I see a lot of little girls trying to get on the climbing frame with dresses on with smooth soled shoes and feel a bit bad for them.
Adults can wear what they like though

AFigTree Tue 07-Aug-18 21:04:43

Good for them! I think it’s great when people of all shapes are confident and happy with their bodies. The only sad thing is to hear you were judging them.

LooksBetterWithAFilter Tue 07-Aug-18 21:04:50

If I’m really honest I used to judge but now I am also pushing 40 myself I have grown up and have far too much going on in my own life to give a shiny shite what other people are doing and wearing.
I wouldn’t wear it myself but I’m not going to judge anyone else for having the body confidence to wear it.

RedPanda2 Tue 07-Aug-18 21:05:28

Don't worry OP, I'm absolutely sure they don't give a fuck what you think.

DitheringBlidiot Tue 07-Aug-18 21:05:42

It’s 31 degrees here today, I find loose cotton trousers and a lift t shirt nicer for me as I burn so easily but that’s not to say everyone needs to wear that. Most people in this heat aren’t worrying about what judgemental judie at kids club is going to think.

5cats Tue 07-Aug-18 21:05:53

And i'm fat so doubly judge away if you want. Take it you wore something buttoned up to your neck and down to your ankles hmmm?

DitheringBlidiot Tue 07-Aug-18 21:06:26

Light t shirt that should be...

MsOliphant Tue 07-Aug-18 21:07:01

But OP, you don't sound like you have respect for other people.

I'm sure you or your toddler will not suffer PTSD from seeing a woman of forty in short shorts. Have a sit down and a cup of tea and think of some real issues.

Raven88 Tue 07-Aug-18 21:08:02

Judging people's outfits is immature and bitchy. Who cares what they wear.

5cats Tue 07-Aug-18 21:08:11

Aye right. I'm sure that was up on facebook.

Secretsquirrel101 Tue 07-Aug-18 21:08:22

What a judgemental twat you sound.
