AIBU?

To have a quick floss in Morrisons frozen food section?

All term I have railed against the flossing antics of my class. The little sods have flossed down the corridor in front of Ofsted, flossed in assembly in front of the director of education and flossed repeatedly in the lunch queue.
They had tried to teach me and I valiantly tried to learn. I couldn't do it until Thursday... the penultimate day of term.
I can now proper floss and quite quickly. I am keeping up my new skills by flossing up a storm. I actually don't think I have control over it.
No one was in the Morrisons frozen bit when I had a little floss - my hips just seized the moment and I went with it.
I know AIBVVVVVVVVU.

Someone is laughing their head off while watching you in CCTV.

every time you go in there from now on, they'll be waiting for the dancing to start.

You'll see them..staff members pretending to stack shelves, while secretly watching you, and waiting. Grin

You’ve tried to fight it and failed. Acceptance is probably the first step to tackling addiction.

Hahaha my own little flossers refuses to teach me. I'm dying to break into a little floss at work one day. Will you teach me?

I did it in the garden yesterday but it was less flossing and more hippo with lumbago. Good on you op.

It’s great fun isn’t it. Me and DD throw some flossing out all the time. There are very few situations that can’t be improved by it.

Thing is, I'm not even embarrassed by myself which I know is all kinds of wrong. You can floss slowly or quickly -as I demonstrated to an aghast DH yesterday - so any musical genre is a goer.
I might get myself a backpack and 'meet me at McDonalds' boy perm to heighten the whole experience.

I flossed at work. I am normally the grown up so got some funny looks!

And I like to think a moment of being impressed from the...ahem...younger members of the team.

I thought flossing meant cleaning your teeth.

Who even invented it?

They wanted to floss when we had an audience with Sir David Attenborough. I said no. Regret that in retrospect.

I wondered why you wanted to clean your teeth in a supermarket when I saw the thread title!

I can only floss when not sober. Then it just comes naturally!

It originated with The Backpack Kid

JustABrokenDoll · 23/07/2018 12:05

I thought it referred to teeth flossing too!

Have now Googled and seen it's that stupid dance 'backpack kid' did to a Katy Perry song.

(that scabby little shit shot a goat in the eye btw)

😂😂😂 that’s brilliant OP. My older kids have been trying to teach the 4yo to floss for weeks but he really couldn’t get the hang of it. He finally got it yesterday and he didn’t want to stop in case he couldn’t start again!

After the initial agony, I am sure the synovial fluid flowing again - it's been a while.

Grin

You must do it if you see any of your pupils over the holidays.

I have just flossed straight into a man in the corridor.Blush was reading this thread whilst eating lunch....was inspired.

Swinging my arms in a floss-esque style on the way to the loo and he got clobbered as he came round the corner - not sure who was more surprized! He even apologised.

Better stick to finance reports.

YANBU. I spent ages telling DS to stop flossing, then he taught me and now I can’t stop. Also see ‘fresh’ which I am amazing at Grin

My 6 year old taught me how to floss, it took a while but it clicked finally and now he’s embarrassed by me. Ha.

Peachydream hilarious. Bet he's doing it now ... if he can master the skillz.
