To unashamedly boast

I’ve name changed.
I’m so proud I could burst!
This week my dd performed in a talent show doing a dance which she’d choreographed herself.
My ds has just found out he is going to be head boy.
I know it’s not a big deal, but I’m so very very proud of them both. I’ve never achieved anything and they’re amazing.

These are big deals! It's ok to feel proud of your children, revel in it in a very unBritish way.

Get where you are coming from, it’s so unbritish to be proud, but you have every right to be, your kids have done great, but they wouldn’t have done it without you so enjoy the moment, burst with pride, jump up and down and remember this moment! Congratulations!! 💕💕

It nice to be proud at times. It nice to see that the hard work you put in with your kids is beginning to pay off. I have seen kids that had various problems and issues. Unless there mother's/father's faught for them to get extra help or spent hours helping them with speaking, reading or maths their children would always have problems or never reached their potential.
Also its not always about getting grade A exam results but it about a child doing as well as they can or developing the talents they have. For your son getting to be head boy is an honour as it shows what his school thinks of him. He will get involved in different things and will be able to talk about these when it comes to college and job interviews. So keep up the good work.

Well done to your kids! You know, don't feel bad about boasting, sometimes a good unashamed open boast from a stranger can be lovely, if only because seeing joy is, well, enjoyable.
