OK so I am honestly a little bit freaked out. My 5yo just came to me and said something was moving in the glass with her sea creatures. It's not something, it's several hundred somethings Shock
They seem to sit on the bottom or top of the water unless the glass is moved then they swim. What the heck are they. And what on earth should I do with them?!?

I have absolutely no idea but I would be more than a bit freaked out by that too Shock

fairislecable · 20/07/2018 18:23

Congratulations it looks like mosquito larvae.

Flush them down the drain.

AjasLipstick · 20/07/2018 18:23

They look like something i has as a child!
A fly or mosquito lays its eggs in water..

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 20/07/2018 18:24

Are they definitely alive and not just floating about? That's freaky!

MrMeSeeks · 20/07/2018 18:24

I was right!!!

Lanadelrat · 20/07/2018 18:26

Down the bloody loo!

FresasAndFrambuesas · 20/07/2018 18:26

They look very much like mosquito larvae. Sorry! Is the top of the glass open?

Soubriquet · 20/07/2018 18:28

Yeah you've got a healthy brood of mosquito larvae. Put some bleach in the water and kill them.

gamerchick · 20/07/2018 18:29

Just chuck it away. A flying beastie has laid eggs in it.

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 20/07/2018 18:30

Sea monkeys...

AssassinatedBeauty · 20/07/2018 18:30

Oh my goodness. That's disturbing.

OftenHangry · 20/07/2018 18:32

Agree on the mosquito larvae.

ParadiseLaundry · 20/07/2018 18:34

🤢 this is horrible, apologies Op, I have reported your thread so they add a trigger warning!

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 20/07/2018 18:35

Was that a joke?? Trigger warning Confused

TeddyIsaHe · 20/07/2018 18:36

Oh god I didn’t know that was a thing.

Quickly get rid or you’ll be living in mosquito hell!

honeyishrunkthekid · 20/07/2018 18:36

Gross. Add bleach. I feel sick now. But her brand new sea creatures and take the ones in the glass, far, far, far away

Leesa65 · 20/07/2018 18:38

How bizarre

I'd just put them down the toilet and flush, OP

Kkmuppet · 20/07/2018 18:40

@Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar

Hmm er, no. Is it so hard to believe that some people find these sorts of things unpleasant and don't wish to see them?

GrainneWail · 20/07/2018 18:44

Mosquito larvae. Chuck the water outside and let the birds have a feed.

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 20/07/2018 18:44
