DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

Can't you cover it with a glass and some card and put it outside?

ISnappedAndFarted · 20/06/2018 18:23

I think it has been laid by an alien.
Call Sigourney Weaver

DNAwrangler · 20/06/2018 18:23

how big is it? Looks a bit like a wasp nest

BlooperReel · 20/06/2018 18:23

I have no idea but placemarking to find out! It looks like some form of mould or fungus?

I wouldnt let her back in there either

DNAwrangler · 20/06/2018 18:24

Bugger, didn't scroll down all the way. I sympathize with not touching it!!

IMBU · 20/06/2018 18:25

Have you got cats? It looks like a hair ball

MrsTommyBanks · 20/06/2018 18:25

OMFG...it's got a FACE Shock.

You need to burn the house down.

Benandhollysmum · 20/06/2018 18:25

If there’s buzzing from it it’s a wasps nest..usually know if it is by presence of wasps going in and out it. No idea what that is if you have Facebook post it to there someone will tell you.

porridgepie · 20/06/2018 18:25

I thought wasp nest but it's maybe a little small for that... Try and catch it with a plastic bag and stick and move it far away?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/06/2018 18:27

Fuck! No idea what it is but would guess at some kind of nest.

When did it appear? Was DD in her room this morning?

jaseyraex · 20/06/2018 18:28

Good lord. I'm afraid I have no idea what that could be but I don't think I'd be staying in the house never mind the room so I applaud your bravery!

gamerchick · 20/06/2018 18:28

A snail?

Do you have a broom to poke it with?

Fuck. That.

statetrooperstacey · 20/06/2018 18:28

looks like a fungus. Trap it under a glass/ bowl (in case it's not a fungus😁) put it outside and poke it with a long stick, see what happens !

MrsEricBana · 20/06/2018 18:29

It looks like a toad to me.

silverrain22 · 20/06/2018 18:29

It is a common garden snail with a very filthy or damaged shell. Pop it outside. They like to live on rhubarb

gamerchick · 20/06/2018 18:29

I do think it needs to be poked Grin

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 20/06/2018 18:29

I'm with the call Sigourney Weaver brigade!

Gretol · 20/06/2018 18:30

It looks like a fungus as others have said. I'd totally knock it with a stick!

Helloisitteaurlookingfor · 20/06/2018 18:30

How long has it been there? Or how long do you think it took to appear?

Cupofteaforme1 · 20/06/2018 18:30

Shameless placemarking

Is it making any noises?

AdaColeman · 20/06/2018 18:30

I think you need a flame thrower to deal with that!
