DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

Can't you cover it with a glass and some card and put it outside?

I think it has been laid by an alien.

If there’s buzzing from it it’s a wasps nest..usually know if it is by presence of wasps going in and out it. No idea what that is if you have Facebook post it to there someone will tell you.

I thought wasp nest but it's maybe a little small for that... Try and catch it with a plastic bag and stick and move it far away?

Fuck! No idea what it is but would guess at some kind of nest.

When did it appear? Was DD in her room this morning?

Good lord. I'm afraid I have no idea what that could be but I don't think I'd be staying in the house never mind the room so I applaud your bravery!

A snail?

Do you have a broom to poke it with?

looks like a fungus. Trap it under a glass/ bowl (in case it's not a fungus😁) put it outside and poke it with a long stick, see what happens !

It looks like a toad to me.

silverrain22 · 20/06/2018 18:29

It is a common garden snail with a very filthy or damaged shell. Pop it outside. They like to live on rhubarb

Report
gamerchick · 20/06/2018 18:29

I do think it needs to be poked Grin

It looks like a fungus as others have said. I'd totally knock it with a stick!

How long has it been there? Or how long do you think it took to appear?
