DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

Can't you cover it with a glass and some card and put it outside?

ISnappedAndFarted Wed 20-Jun-18 18:23:15

I think it has been laid by an alien.

how big is it? Looks a bit like a wasp nest

BlooperReel Wed 20-Jun-18 18:23:35

I have no idea but placemarking to find out! It looks like some form of mould or fungus?

I wouldnt let her back in there either

DNAwrangler Wed 20-Jun-18 18:24:55

Bugger, didn't scroll down all the way. I sympathize with not touching it!!

IMBU Wed 20-Jun-18 18:25:07

Have you got cats? It looks like a hair ball

MrsTommyBanks Wed 20-Jun-18 18:25:46

OMFG...it's got a FACE shock.

You need to burn the house down.

Benandhollysmum Wed 20-Jun-18 18:25:54

If there’s buzzing from it it’s a wasps nest..usually know if it is by presence of wasps going in and out it. No idea what that is if you have Facebook post it to there someone will tell you.

porridgepie Wed 20-Jun-18 18:25:57

I thought wasp nest but it's maybe a little small for that... Try and catch it with a plastic bag and stick and move it far away?

GreatDuckCookery Wed 20-Jun-18 18:27:04

Fuck! No idea what it is but would guess at some kind of nest.

When did it appear? Was DD in her room this morning?

jaseyraex Wed 20-Jun-18 18:28:11

Good lord. I'm afraid I have no idea what that could be but I don't think I'd be staying in the house never mind the room so I applaud your bravery!

gamerchick Wed 20-Jun-18 18:28:17

A snail?

Do you have a broom to poke it with?

Motherduckling Wed 20-Jun-18 18:28:44

DrDoMore Wed 20-Jun-18 18:28:45

Fuck. That.

statetrooperstacey Wed 20-Jun-18 18:28:59

looks like a fungus. Trap it under a glass/ bowl (in case it's not a fungus😁) put it outside and poke it with a long stick, see what happens !

MrsEricBana Wed 20-Jun-18 18:29:27

It looks like a toad to me.

silverrain22 Wed 20-Jun-18 18:29:29

It is a common garden snail with a very filthy or damaged shell. Pop it outside. They like to live on rhubarb

gamerchick Wed 20-Jun-18 18:29:39

I do think it needs to be poked grin

SissySpacekAteMyHamster Wed 20-Jun-18 18:29:47

I'm with the call Sigourney Weaver brigade!

Gretol Wed 20-Jun-18 18:30:16

It looks like a fungus as others have said. I'd totally knock it with a stick!

Helloisitteaurlookingfor Wed 20-Jun-18 18:30:18

How long has it been there? Or how long do you think it took to appear?

Cupofteaforme1 Wed 20-Jun-18 18:30:25

Shameless placemarking

Sparklesocks Wed 20-Jun-18 18:30:42

Oh my god Op - nightmare fuel!!

Is it making any noises?

AdaColeman Wed 20-Jun-18 18:30:57

I think you need a flame thrower to deal with that!
