Do you have to include middle names on airplane tickets? Or the first and last name?

Whatever is on the passport.

First and Last. Middle names are optional.

I only ever use first and last when booking tickets, my middle name is on my passport- have never used it.

Phew because I've never booked before but we're going to Italy in August and I've booked the plane ticket, but when I've gone to apply for the child passport I see they ask for middle name, but I've only put first and last on airplane tickets

They ask mainly because some Spanish names don’t fit in the standard surname box.

@duchy so they ask for middle names?

You will need to check with the airline . Some airlines only require first and last names . Some airlines especially if they are schuduled flights may require middle names .

Only first and last names needed on tickets. Full names are on passports. As long as first and last match exactly you're ok (ex airline worker).

My first name and middle name are on my passport. I never use my middle name when booking a ticket.

I thought it said 'name as it appears on passport'.

CotedePablo Wed 13-Jun-18 23:41:41

Yes, but only first and last as it appears on passport is required.
