Office is long distance so I get to work from home certain days. Have lots of important calls to make and sales to finalise (currently trying to sort out emails but struggling hence being on MN) but I was up until 4am with stomach ache / nausea and I now have a vile headache from lack of sleep / dehydration. Speaking makes me feel sicker. Im in bed but feel shocking. I haven't 'phoned in sick' because I thought i could fight it off and catch up from mid morning.
Boss is expecting lots of 'results' today. Shit.

That sounds horrible. Can you spend an hour or so trying to get better first? Lots of tea will help both dehydration and probably head. Then eat a bit - toast? Lie down and catch up on a bit of sleep? I bet if you did that you'd start to feel well enough to make phone calls by mid-afternoon, whereas if you try and force yourself to work first you won't feel better for longer IYSWIM. Don't think about the boss, just get the results you can get and if he/she questions tell them that you were ill and got to work as soon as you could. Flowers

Call in sick and say it started mid morning.

Yuck. And sympathies.

If you've worked this morning then it's a half day. Email to relevant people to move meets back.

You probably don't want to hear this. I work from home and when ill still have to do the work. Being at home means you can just pace yourself better. Rest in between phone calls, but you should still be able to do the work.

Thanks. Just going to pace myself and sip tea. Took some paracetamol and had pepto bismal earlier. Yuk. If the headache would shift I could get a bit more done.
I think a nap would help but i've lost too much time this morning as it is!
Just a 'feeling sorry for myself' post and a bit panicky over not being able to get it all done today. Big meeting with my boss tomorrow about today's progress. Poop

I'm one of the worst at taking my own advice, i.e. rest. I often wfh and through the years have had various health issues and worked through them all. It does all catch up as I'm now finding.

Do what is right overall for you lass.

If you've made no headway by 2pm I'd call in sick/take leave. Better that than look productive and lose your boss"s trust in you to deliver while wfh.
