I don't normally criticise the royals but...

... another day of Kate and William away from their tiny baby for a substantial amount of time.

I just don't understand it, when they were this small I couldn't bear to be apart from them.

Now getting my hard hat 👩‍🚒👷‍♀️😬

I know what you mean. Yesterday, she had no choice. Today just seems strange that he wasn't there.

Wolfiefan Sun 10-Jun-18 20:54:32

You couldn't bear it. Doesn't mean other people can't.
Horses for courses.

MyOtherUsernameisaPun Sun 10-Jun-18 20:54:41

Then I suppose you're lucky that you didn't have to. It's their job to do these things. And it's the jobs of many thousands of parents to go to work and leave their precious babies who they also can't bear to be apart from because they have to pay the bills and keep a roof over their heads.

Livingsymbol Sun 10-Jun-18 20:55:08

That Meghan & her loving looks she keeps giving out annoying me.

She’s an actor, should see the looks she gave out on queue blush

MaryPoppinsPenguins Sun 10-Jun-18 20:55:26

Were they away from him for the whole day?

I’m sure he was very happy and well cared for. I had to leave my weeks old baby for 48 hours and it was unavoidable. Hate to think people would’ve been judging me..

DorothyL Sun 10-Jun-18 20:55:57

Kate didn't have to go to the polo, or she could have brought him along?

ColoursOfRain Sun 10-Jun-18 20:56:10

But they don't have to. Today was clearly a choice... I never understand why people who can leave their baby at the drop of a hat bother to have them at all.

AlonsoTigerHeart Sun 10-Jun-18 20:56:11

God forbid a woman cuts the umbilical cord before the child's 18th birthday.

DorothyL Sun 10-Jun-18 20:56:40

Jumping from 6 weeks to 18 years is quite a stretch

4n20Blackbirds Sun 10-Jun-18 20:57:02

She probs needs fucking break

Pengggwn Sun 10-Jun-18 20:57:08

"She"
"she"
"she"

Why does William get less stick for this?

Inkanta Sun 10-Jun-18 20:57:08

I wonder if Kate is okay with it. Maybe not. I don't know.

kalapattar Sun 10-Jun-18 20:57:19

It's their job to do these things

What were they doing today?

kalapattar Sun 10-Jun-18 20:58:11

Kate didn't have to go to the polo, or she could have brought him along

Did William need to go to the polo?

DorothyL Sun 10-Jun-18 20:58:14

I did mention both of them in the op

NewYearNewMe18 Sun 10-Jun-18 20:58:57

Like the royals don't have grand parents or friends and aren't allowed to spend any time with their existing children and take them out for the day? They are beyond contempt, taking their kids out instead of locking them in the house, and that Kate, how very dare she come out, all groomed, not looking like a sleep deranged harridan, in baggy pants and leaky boobs?

DorothyL Sun 10-Jun-18 20:59:03

Yes to be fair he probably didn't have to Go either

But if they wanted to why didn't they bring him?

Sprinklesinmyelbow Sun 10-Jun-18 20:59:25

How do you know the baby wasn’t there? They could’ve been nearby with a nanny. They have 2 other children to entertain too. I don’t see the big deal.

ColoursOfRain Sun 10-Jun-18 20:59:29

Well, William was on the team.... maybe he could have got out of it, maybe he had to go.

blackbunny Sun 10-Jun-18 20:59:51

I'd imagine it's very hard to leave their baby but...they have a way of life to lead as royals, I think the more they can take off the Queen's shoulders the better, they're young and healthy, she is 92 and surely has earned the right to take things easy.
And there must be many ordinary parents who have to return to work as soon as possible after the birth because they need the money.

NewYearNewMe18 Sun 10-Jun-18 21:00:16

Did William need to go to the polo?

Seeing as it was a charity appearance, I dare say he could have let them down or just withdraw from the two charities that benefitted.

Pengggwn Sun 10-Jun-18 21:00:42

maybe he had to go.

He is the future King of the United Kingdom. If he wants someone else to play a polo match for him, I'm sure he isn't going to be shy of takers hmm

Lazypuppy Sun 10-Jun-18 21:01:05

I love my LO, doesn't mean I need to be attached to her 24/7! Same for my partner. They spent a day away from baby, don't see the issue really?

Sparklesocks Sun 10-Jun-18 21:01:27

I do think it’s a bit damned if they do damned if they don’t.

If they missed appearances to spend time with their DC they’d probably be criticised for not doing their job/fulfilling their responsibilities as well.

As a royal you are obligated to appear at these things and then you get scrutiny from the media and members of the public. You couldn’t pay me to do it.
